Biostar Announces A70MGP Socket FM2+ Motherboard

BIOSTAR has released the latest mainboard based on the exclusive A70M chipset from AMD, the "A70MGP". The A70M is a value line chipset that supports FM2+ APUs, USB 3.0 and SATA3 and the BIOSTAR boards based on that chipset offer a better value versus price performance ratio compared to boards based on the A68H or A58 chipsets.

Although AMD has just recently launched the A68H chipset, which supports FM2+ APUs, because these new (exclusive to BIOSTAR) A70M boards support USD 3.0 and SATA3, they offer an upgrade level that is higher than the current entry level A58 chipset boards.

Biostar Announces A68N-5000 Fanless Motherboard

BIOSTAR, manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, industrial computing systems and peripherals, has officially launched the latest edition to the CPU On-Board motherboard lineup, the "A68N-5000." The A68N-5000 uses the AMD A4-5000 which is a 4 core CPU with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz with an integrated Radeon HD 8330 GPU that supports DX11.1 and HDMI, a single channel DDR3(L)-1600 memory controller as well as the Southbridge with various I/O- ports. The system runs cool and quiet with heat sinks instead of fans, this reduces noise and also dust buildup as well as cuts down on power costs.

AMD "Richland" Desktop APU Lineup Detailed

AMD's A-series "Trinity" line of APUs may have helped make the APU outsell CPUs in 2013, but it won't be long before they're replaced by the new "Richland" A-series APUs for desktops and mainstream notebooks. "Richland" is a tweaked version of "Trinity" which sees AMD stick to the 32 nm process, and retain the "Piledriver" CPU micro-architecture, but increase CPU clock speeds, add a faster DDR3-2133 MHz dual-channel IMC, and integrate a Radeon HD 8000 series Graphics CoreNext iGPU into the silicon. Desktop APU models will take up with A##-6000 series numbering scheme.

The series will be led by AMD A10-6800K, which features every component on the "Richland" silicon unlocked, which includes two "Piledriver" CPU modules amounting to four x86-64 cores, and all stream processors on the iGPU unlocked, with the highest CPU and iGPU clock speeds enabled in the lineup. The iGPU model for this chip is Radeon HD 8670D. The A10-6800K features unlocked multipliers, making overclocking a breeze. Trailing it is the A10-6700, which features all physical components unlocked, but with slightly lower clock speeds, and locked BClk multipler. It features the same iGPU as its bigger sibling, the HD 8670D.

BIOSTAR Introduces the A68I-350 DELUXE All-In-One Mini ITX Motherboard

BIOSTAR, a manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, industrial computing systems and peripherals, has announced the start of sales for their unique ultra-compact motherboard, the A68I-350 DELUXE with an integrated APU-chip, the AMD Fusion 350D (Socket BGA FT1). With the ultra-small dimensions of this Mini ITX board (only 170 x 170 mm) and the high degree of integration of its powerful components, the design of a modern multimedia and entertainment setup with the minimum of components has become possible, all at a very affordable price.

Integrated into the A68I-350 DELUXE, the APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) processor AMD Fusion 350D is built on an integrated high performance graphical core of the AMD Radeon HD 6310 with support for the newest Microsoft DirectX11 technology. It boasts a highly efficient integrated graphical subsystem with up to 512 MB of distributed memory providing significant speed of data processing which is enough for the majority of modern office and entertainment applications including playing full HD video and driving today's DX11 games. Integrated video outputs – analog VGA and digital HDMI 3D Visual – allow connecting any modern display including digital HDTVs and monitors.
