Addonics Announces Internal GigaNAS Adapter

Addonics Technologies today announced the Internal GigaNAS Adapter, a simple, powerful and inexpensive solution for custom building your own high capacity network attached storage system, including private cloud storage.

The new adapter is designed to mount into a PCI slot of a desktop computer, server or a storage chassis with a centronic 50 connector cutout. With two SATA ports and one USB port, the new adapter allows you to share up to 16 hard drives over a LAN with as much as 16 TB per drive volume and up to 85 MB/sec. transfer rate over a 1G network at a fraction of the cost of many existing NAS solutions.

Addonics Announces the M.2, SSD, HDD Duplicator Family

Addonics Technologies (www.addonics.com) today announced the M2/SSD/HDD Duplicator -- a family of high-speed duplicators designed for making multiple copies of M2 (NGFF) SSD or 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD media from a single master drive. Each duplicator comes bundled with a 2.5" M2 (NGFF) flash drive kit that turns a M2 (NGFF) card into a 2.5" SATA SSD. You can mix and match the M2 (NGFF) SSD, 2.5" SSD or standard SATA hard drives into the duplicator, which makes it a handy tool for transferring content between multiple media formats.

There is no computer needed or complex software required to operate any Addonics duplicator. Just open the doors on the drive bays, load the master media into the source bay and the target media of capacity equal or larger into the target bays, lock the drive doors and push the start button to start the copying process. Designed with snap-in drive bays, drives can be easily added or removed without any special tool, just like an ordinary cassette tape.

Addonics Announces the 6G RAID Tower Family of External Storage Solutions

Addonics Technologies today announced the 6G RAID Tower family of external storage solutions, which connect multiple drives to any system at 6Gbps speed. Prices start at $189. The new Addonics solutions are ideal for video storage or large data applications. They are a simple way to expand the storage capacity of servers or any computing equipment with terabytes of storage space without sacrificing the full speed capability of the high performance hard drive or SSD.

Depending on the model, as much as 60 terabytes can be installed into one 6G RAID Tower. With the exception of the RAID Tower Mini, which uses a simple screw mount, drives are added or removed like tape cartridges from each drive bay without any special tools.

Addonics Announces Two New 6 Gbps Port Multipliers

Addonics Technologies today announced two new members of its Port Multiplier family, both designed to support SATA 3.0 6 Gbps and greatly enhance the storage capabilities for a wide range of computer systems.

The new products are the Internal 5-port 6G Port Multiplier, which is an excellent solution for adding more drives to a computer that has limited SATA ports, and the 5-Port 6G Rack Mount Port Multiplier, which has more flexibility for large volume storage needs. As many as five hard drives, SSD or optical drives can be connected to these PMs. The hard drives or SSD drives appear as five individual drives when connecting to a Port Multiplier compatible controller. Addonics Technologies today announced an internal and external reader/writer that allows you to use mSATA SSDs or CFast cards as removable media on any computer. Addonics Hard Drive Duplicator Lets Users Simultaneously Clone Up to 11 Drives

Addonics Technologies today announced the Addonics 1:11 HDD (Hard Disk Drive) Duplicator, which can copy up to 11 target drives from a single source or duplicate any SATA or IDE HDD drive in a 3.5" or 2.5" form factor. The HDD duplicator is an ideal solution for production or data distribution applications.

The 1:11 HDD duplicator comes in three different models and operates as a stand alone device. No computer or complex software is needed. Simply insert the master drive into the source slot and then insert up to 11 hard drives of equal or larger capacity than the master drive into the duplicator slots. Press the "copy" button on the LCD control module to start the copying process. The 1:11 HDD duplicator supports a maximum copy speed of 300 MB/sec.

Addonics Announces the Compact RAID 2.5'' Drive RAID eSATA Enclosure

Addonics Technologies, announced a very small storage appliance which, despite being the size of a four inch cube, packs the power and features of RAID storage devices that are much larger and up to three times as expensive. Called the Compact RAID, the unit accommodates up to five 2.5”, 9.5 mm height hard drives or SSDs to form high performance storage configurable to various RAID levels up to RAID 5. Drives can easily be removed or added to the Compact RAID, much like a tape cartridge without special tools.

Addonics Introduces IDE/SATA to CF Hard Drive Adapters

Addonics Technologies has announced a family of CF Hard Drive Adapters, which allow users to replace 2.5-inch IDE/SATA hard drives with one or two less power-hungry compact flash(CF) cards. The low power and shock resistant CF media can be used on any desktop PC or notebook. Once installed, the CF appears as an ordinary hard drive to the system BIOS and operating system and can also be configured as a boot device. No special device drivers are required. The adapters are compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris Operating Systems. The primary products in the Addonics CF adapter family include the IDE/CF Hard Drive Adapter and the SATA/CF Hard Drive Adapter. The IDE version comes with choice of single slot($24.99 MSRP) or dual slots($29.99 MSRP) to accommodate up to two CFs. The SATA version has a single CF slot and MSRP price of $35.99. The products will be available in April directly from Addonics.
