Shuttle Puts Intel Haswell Performance in a 3-litre Case

Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH, the European subsidiary of Shuttle Inc., one of the leading developers and manufacturers of compact PC solutions, such as the world-renowned XPC Mini PC Barebones, today introduces two new 3-litre models for fourth-generation Intel Core processors. The XH81 and the XH81V are available on the European market with immediate effect. The Shuttle Barebones XH81 and XH81V are based on an Intel H81 Express Chipset and designed for current Intel processors for socket LGA1150 up to a maximum TDP of 65 W. Two SO-DIMM slots can be equipped with up to 16 GB of DDR3 memory. An efficient heatpipe cooling with two 60 mm fans channels waste heat directly to the outside. An external 90 W power supply is present to drive the system.

The flat case barely measuring 24 x 20 x 7.2 cm (DWH) can be equipped with up to three drives. Installation options for 3x 2.5" HDD/SSD drives or alternatively 2x 2.5" HDD/SSD drives plus an optical slimline drive are available. A 3.5" drive can also be installed using the PHD4 accessory which is sold separately. 3x SATA 6 Gbit/s and 1x SATA 3 Gbit/s are available. There are also two Mini-PCIe 2.0 slots inside which can be used for expansion cards, e.g. for a WLAN or an mSATA SSD drive. Neither the Shuttle Barebone XH81 nor the XH81V skimps when it comes to connections - with DisplayPort, HDMI, USB 3.0 Gigabit LAN, RS 232 and 5.1 Audio, for example, high connectivity can be found on the front and the back panel.

Shuttle XS36V4 and XS35V4 Fanless PCs Now Available In Europe

The new models, the XS35V4 and XS36V4, are fitted with an Intel Celeron J1900 processor in 22 nm architecture. Its four CPU cores with 2 GHz and 2 MB cache promise an increase in working speed in this product category. Instead of the previous 4 GB, now a total of 8 GB DDR3-SO-DIMM is supported.

Shuttle Announces Fanless Single-bay NAS with Built-in WiFi Hotspot

Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH, the European subsidiary of Shuttle Inc., one of the leading developers and manufacturers of compact PC solutions such as the world-renowned XPC Mini-PC Barebones, is now launching the KS10, a storage solution for NAS entry-level users. This network-based one-bay storage solution is suitable for storing files (e.g. documents, music and photos) on the local network, for location-independent data backup or for setting up your own private cloud. With a consumption of less than 6 W in standby mode and 12 W during normal operation it is a particularly frugal machine.

The fanless KS10 is suitable for 3.5" hard disks up to at least 4 Terabytes and has further USB ports for external storage devices and printer. Devices connected by USB cable as well as memory cards in the built-in SD card reader can be shared over the network. The Gigabit Ethernet network connection enables data transfer speeds of up to 80 MB/s when reading and up to 60 MB/s when writing. In addition, a built-in, access-protected WiFi hotspot can be enabled for communication with wireless devices.

MSI ProBox23 Thin Mini-ITX Barebone Now Shipping

MSI announces the launch of the MSI ProBox23, the first model in its new generation of commercial oriented barebone PCs. MSI Announces ProBox23 Desktop Barebone

MSI announced the ProBox line of compact desktop barebones, the first of which is the ProBox23. Its chassis, which measures 202 mm x 204 mm x 54.8 mm (WxDxH), includes a slim mini-ITX motherboard based on the Intel H81 Express chipset, supporting LGA1150 processors (TDP of up to 65W), room for up to two DDR3 SO-DIMM slots, two 2.5-inch SATA drives, and an mSATA slot. A half-height mPCIe x1 slot is also featured, so you can drop in your own wireless communications card. The unit draws power from an external power brick. Connectivity includes stereo HD audio, gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.0 ports, six USB 2.0 ports (two on the rear panel, four on the front), eSATA 3 Gb/s, and HDMI display output.

Shuttle Delivers 43 mm Thin Robust Slim PC for LGA1150 Processors

The special feature of this machine is its compatibility with fourth-generation Intel Core processors (former codename: Haswell) with LGA1150. Nearly all models, from the low-cost Celeron to the large Core i7, are supported (TDP max. 65 W). The Intel H81 chipset is used on the motherboard. For the first time, two DisplayPort connectors and a HDMI connector are available. MSI has announced the launch of its new-generation barebone PC system: the Hetis H81 series. This series uses the latest Intel H81 chipset, and support the 4th Generation Intel Core Processor, the high performance processor of its kind to have the graphics processing unit (GPU) and CPU integrated onto the one chip, while also building a set of visual functions into the chip that ensure higher image quality when viewing video content or photos. Furthermore, Hetis H81 is capable to install two full-height and half-length PCI cards. MSI integrates all these features into a slim tower system with equal performance comparing with regular PC.

GIGABYTE Launches BRIX Gaming Mini PC Barebone

GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Giada Readies the F300 Haswell-Powered Mini PC Barebone

Chinese company Giadatech is currently preparing the release of a new Mini PC solution, the Giada-branded F300. This latest compact offering is a barebone equipped with an Intel Haswell processor, more specifically, the 1.8 GHz Core i5-4200U dual-core chip (with Intel HD Graphics 4400).

The F300 measures 260 x 175 x 35 mm, it features an aluminum, fan-free, chassis that acts as a heatsinks, and has support for one 2.5-inch SATA storage solution, one SO-DIMM slot, Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 2.0 and four USB 3.0 ports, and VGA, DVI and DisplayPort outputs. The barebone's price tag was not revealed.

ASRock M8 SFF Barebone Gaming PC Goes on Sale

Announced early this month, the M8 gaming-craving barebone PC has now become available in the US. Developed by ASRock in collaboration with BMW Group DesignworksUSA, the M8 measures 372 (W) x 123 (H) x 400 (L) mm, it packs a 450 W power supply and is equipped with a Z87-M8 motherboard offering support for 4th gen Intel Core processors, up to 16 GB of RAM, and one dual-slot PCIe graphics card.

ASRock's compact barebone can house a 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch storage drive, one slim optical drive, and includes WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, a 4-in-1 card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports, plus HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. The M8 is priced at $549.99.

Shuttle Supplies Slim PC with Integrated Intel Celeron 847 Processor

The machine, marketed under the name DS47, is approximately 39 mm thin. Due to its robust exterior, it is also suitable for use in harsh environments.

Despite its compact size of 20 x 16.5 x 3.95 cm (DWH), the DS47 has remarkable features. Its motherboard comes with an energy-efficient Intel Celeron 847 processor (2 MB cache, dual-core 1.10 GHz) soldered onto the board. The steel casing has room for a 2.5" drive (HDD/SSD with SATA 6 Gbit), up to 16 GB DDR3 SO-DIMM and a full size mini PCI card. Giada Unveils the i35GB Mini PC Barebone

Seen below, the barebone comes equipped with a 1.86 GHz Atom D2550 processor and an NVIDIA GT610 GPU, and has support for up to 4 GB of RAM (DDR3-1066), for a 2.5-inch SATA drive, plus Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, optional Bluetooth, a multi-in-one card reader, five USB 2.0 ports, and D-Sub and HDMI outputs.

The i35GB's price tag was not announced.

MSI Hetris H61 Ultra Barebones Desktop Pictured

MSI designed the new Hetris H61 Ultra, a 10 liter commercial barebones desktop for the European market. Measuring 330 x 94 x 320 mm, its chassis houses an Intel H61 chipset-based socket LGA1155 motherboard, which supports Core/Pentium/Celeron processors based on the 32 nm "Sandy Bridge" and 22 nm "Ivy Bridge" micro-architectures. It features two 240-pin DDR3 DIMM slots, supporting up to 8 GB of dual-channel DDR3-1333 MHz memory. Among the drive bays in the chassis are a 3.5-inch/2.5-inch SATA bay for hard drives, and a 5.25-inch bay for optical drives.

The Hetris H61 Ultra packs an 80 Plus-compliant 270W power supply. It features a PCI-Express riser that allows you to install up to two PCIe expansion cards along the plane of the motherboard. Connectivity includes 6-channel HD audio, gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.0 ports on the front, four USB 2.0/1.1 ports on the rear, a pair of serial COM ports, PS/2 keyboard/mouse, eSATA 3 Gb/s, and display connectivity that includes DVI, D-Sub, and HDMI. The Hetris H61 Ultra could also be sold with a number of entry-level CPU, memory, and HDD combinations.

Gigabyte Readies the AB24BT 24-inch All-in-One Barebone

Yet another Gigabyte-branded barebone has now appeared on the horizon and it's called AB24BT. Seen below, this upcoming barebone is an All-in-One which is equipped with an Intel H61 motherboard and boasts a 24-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) LED-backlit touchscreen.

The AB24BT supports 2nd and 3rd generation Intel Core processors, and has a built-in 2.5-inch HDD/SSD docking station, a DVD writer, a 2.0-megapixel webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, a 4-in-1 card reader, two USB 3.0 ports, and D-Sub plus HDMI outputs. No word on pricing.

Gigabyte Unveils the GB-TCD Mini PC Barebone

Gigabyte Technology is currently preparing the release of a new barebone, one named GB-TCD which targets enterprise customers and is based around Intel's Cedar Trail platform. The GB-TCD measures 245 (D) x 180 (W) x 40 (H) mm, it packs a 1.8 GHz Atom D2550 processor and features support for up to 4 GB of DDR3 memory, one SATA 3.0 Gbps port (one 2.5-inch drive can be installed), mSATA and Mini-PCIe slots, Gigabit Ethernet, a 4-in-1 card reader, plus D-Sub and HDMI outputs.

No word on pricing yet.

Shuttle Delivers Powerful New 3-litre PC for Energy-Efficient LGA1155 Processors

Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH, the European subsidiary of Shuttle Inc., one of the leading developers and manufacturers of compact PC solutions such as the world-renowned XPC Mini-PC Barebones, today announces the introduction of a new model in its 3-litre PC product series. The XH61V – an improved version of the previous XH61 – is now available from specialist retailers.

The Shuttle Barebone XH61V is based on an Intel H61 Express chipset and is compatible with the latest Intel processors for the LGA1155 socket. Processors in 32 nm or 22 nm micro architecture and with two to four cores are suitable for use with this new model. These include Intel Core, Pentium and Celeron processors up to 65 W TDP. System cooling is provided by a heatpipe with two extremely quiet 60 mm fans for air circulation. Both SO-DIMM slots on the motherboard work in dual-channel mode and can accommodate up to a total of 16 GB DDR3 memory. An external 90 W power supply is included as well.

Shuttle Also Intros New Line of Atom-powered Slimline Barebones

Shuttle also launched a new line of slimline, fan-less XPC Mini PC barebones driven by the latest Intel Atom D2700 processor. The XS35V3 and XS36V launched today, succeed the XS35/V2 launched last September, which were based on previous-generation Atom D525 chips. Measuring 252 x 162 x 38.5 mm (WxDxH), the XS35V3 features a slimline optical drive bay apart from a 2.5" SATA drive bay to hold an HDD or SSD. It has two DDR3 SO-DIMM slots, supporting up to 4 GB of single-channel DDR3-1066 MHz memory. Front-panel includes a card-reader (supports SDHC/SD/MS/MS Pro), and a USB 2.0 port. Its rear-panel includes stereo line-out and mic-in audio jacks, four USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port, and display outputs that include HDMI 1.3 and D-sub (VGA). It also features wireless b/g/n LAN.

The XS36V has a slightly smaller chassis, measuring 200 x 160 x 36 mm. It lacks a slimline optical drive bay, its only drive bay is a 2.5" SATA. Most of its logic board is identical to that of its sibling. Apart from the a card-reader (SDHC/SD/MS/MS Pro) and a USB 2.0 port, the front-panel features two RS232 serial (COM) ports. Its rear-panel is identical to that of the XS35V3. Both models include a 40W external power brick. The XS35V3 is priced around US $149, while the XS36V is priced slightly higher.
