CM Storm Reaper Mouse Presents a Compact Palm-grip Option

CM Storm showed off its Reaper gaming mouse, which features a unique compact right palm-grip optimized design. What makes it unique is it doesn't come across as flabby as other palm-grip mice, and can be clawed onto comfortably. It measures about 75 x 35 x 130 mm (WxHxL). It offers eight programmable buttons, under its hood are Omron-made switches, and an Avago 9800 sensor with 8,200 dpi resolution, 150 ips velocity, and 30 g acceleration. An onboard 128 KB memory stores your button layouts. The Reaper's body uses an aluminum scroll-wheel (not faux-chrome plastic), an aluminum panel on the top that shimmers under the soft glow of a white LED, and rubberized plastic. The 1.8 m long cable is fiber-braided.

Cooler Master Unveils CM Storm Sirius S 5.1-channel Gaming Headset

Cooler Master's gaming hardware brand CM Storm announced the Sirius S 5.1-channel gaming headset, a variant of the Sirius, which dates back to June 2011. While the original Sirius ships with a 5.1-channel USB sound card, and is priced around 120€, the new Sirius S maintains the headset's every component, except the USB sound card is tossed out for a simpler volume control pod, and 3.5 mm jacks (three lines-out and one mic-in), so you could take advantage of your own sound card. It's also likely that since sound cards with non-standard DSPs are highly prone to driver-related issues, and need constant maintenance from the manufacturers' side, Cooler Master is finding a smarter way out. The Sirius S is expected to be significantly cheaper than the original, when it reaches stores some time in February.

DharmaPoint Intros DRTCKB91UP2 Gaming Keyboard

Gaming peripherals maker DharmaPoint announced the DRTCKB91UP2 compact gaming keyboard. Measuring 367 x 148 x 34 mm (WxDxH), it features a design that does away with the numpad key-cluster, much like CM Storm QuickFire Rapid, but unlike the QuickFire TK. It appears to use a gaming-grade membrane switches similar to the ones found on Microsoft Sidewinder X-series, with 20 million key-press lifecycle, its controller supports full N-key rollover over USB (like Microsoft's Sidewinder X-series). While it's completely devoid of hotkeys, it features hardware Win-key disable and turbo switches, in its 91-key QWERTY layout. It is priced around $60, and could present an alternative to more expensive mechanical compact keyboards.
