EK Releases EK-VGA Supremacy HWBOT Edition GPU Water Block

EK Working on Full Cover Water Block for Reference Design GeForce GTX 660

EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana based premium water cooling gear provider, is currently working on a Full-Cover (FC) water block for nVidia reference design GeForce GTX 660 graphics cards based on the GK106 core.

The upcoming EK-FC660 GTX for nVidia reference design GeForce GTX 660 graphic cards will directly cool the GK106 GPU, RAM as well as VRM (voltage regulation module) as water will flow directly over these critical areas thus allowing the graphics card and it's VRM to remain stable under high overclocks. EK-FC660 GTX water block will features a very high flow design therefore it can be easily used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps.

EK Introduces EK-RAM Dominator Module

EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana based premium water cooling gear provider, is proud to present the EK-RAM Dominator Module, a heatsink adapter which allows virtually any (DDR-)SDRAM memory module (of any generation) to be water cooled in conjunction with EK-RAM Dominator series water blocks.

Each heatsink consists of two separate plates while the DIMM memory module is sandwitched in between. Heat transfer between the memory module and aluminium heatsink adapter is ensured by the use of enclosed thermal pad. Between the EK-RAM Dominator Module Adapter and EK-RAM Dominator series water block we recommend the use of electrically non-conductive thermal grease, i.e. Gelid GC-Extreme.

EK Water Blocks Intros EK-FC7850 VGA Block for Radeon HD 7850

In case you feel a strange urge to liquid-cool a Radeon HD 7850, EK Water Blocks (EKWB) has just the thing for you. The company launched EK-FC7850, a block designed for reference and close-to-reference Radeon HD 7850 graphics cards. The compact EK-FC7850 is big enough to qualify as full-coverage, as it cools all essential components, including the GPU, memory, and VRM areas. Further, it's available in nickel and acetal+nickel variants. The primary material of the block is copper. The EK-FC7850 Acetal is priced at €80.95, while the EK-FC7850 Acetal+Nickel goes for €86.95.

EKWB Teases With Radeon HD 7970 Water Block

Another European company, EK Water Blocks (EKWB), is ready with its full-coverage water block for AMD's Radeon HD 7970 graphics card, the EK-FC7970. Unlike Aqua Computer's AquagrATIx 7900, the EK-FC7970 isn't launched, the company isn't taking orders yet, but it posted a teaser picture on its Facebook page. The picture reveals the block to use copper as its primary material, with an acetal top. It appears to have standard G1/4" threading. As a full-coverage block, it covers all the heat-producing components on the obverse side of the card's PCB, including the GPU, the twelve memory chips, and VRM. EKWB did not give out other specifications, price, or availability.

EK Water Blocks Rolls Out GeForce 400 Series Offerings

EK Water Blocks released as many as eight water blocks for the GeForce 400 series, four each for the GTX 470 and GTX 480. All four carry essentially the same full-coverage monolithic design, but differ with the selection of materials. The EK-FC470 GTX and EK-FC480 GTX are base-models, which are copper-based, and which use clear acrylic tops. These are priced at 74.95€ and 80.00€, respectively. A little higher up, are the EK-FC470 GTX Acetal and EK-FC480 GTX Acetal, which use acetal top. These go for 77.65€ and 82.9€, respectively. A little further, is are the EK-FC470 GTX Nickel and EK-FC480 GTX Nickel, which use nickel-plated copper for the block, with clear acrylic top, priced at 80.95€ and 85.90€, respectively. At the highest-end are the EK-FC470 GTX Acetal+Nickel and EK-FC480 GTX Acetal+Nickel, which use nickel-plated copper blocks with acetal tops, priced at 84.95€ and 89.90€, respectively.

The monolithic full-coverage design ensures cooling for all vital components on the obverse-side of the PCB, including GPU, memory, and VRM. Heat dissipation over the GPU is done by wavy copper ridges. The blocks use G 1/4 threads for the optional fittings. EK has started taking orders for these on its online store.

EK Water Blocks Readying Radeon HD 5870 Water Block

Slovenian water-cooling components specialist EK Water Blocks is readying one of the first water blocks for the AMD Radeon HD 5870 accelerator. Called EK FCS5870, it is a full-coverage water block from the looks of it, cooling all essential components on the PCB, including the GPU, memory, and VRM. The first picture below shows a CAD drawing of a design candidate. The second one is a picture of the ready copper block sans its top, revealing the water channel, and the heat-dissipation ribs over the GPU area. EK intends to complete the design of the FCS5870 by the end of this month.

EK Water Blocks Working on Full-Coverage EVGA X58 Classified Solution

Known for good performance and value when it comes to water blocks, EK Water Blocks has water block for most applications. The company is working on a full-coverage block specially designed for the EVGA X58 Classified series of motherboards. The block cools the most significant heat sources of the motherboard, namely the X58+ICH10R chipset, the companion NVIDIA BR-03 chips, and the VRM areas. A draft design surfaced on XtremeSystems Forums, revealing the complex construction of the cooler. The design is still under development, and could vary from the actual product.

EK Water Block today caught up with Danger Den and CoolIT, by introducing their full cover water block for Radeon HD 3870 X2. The EK's water block is available in three versions:
  • EK-FC3870 X2 CF: base made of electrolytic copper, top made of quality acrylic glass and back ram heat sinks made of black anodized aluminium.
  • EK-FC3870 X2 - Acetal CF: same as the original acrylic block, but the top is made of quality POM Acetal.
  • EK-FC3870 X2 - CF Nickel: base is made of nickel plated copper, while top is made of quality acrylic glass and back ram heat sinks are made of black anodized aluminium.
All three versions weight about 920g and convert the HD 3870 X2 into single-slot cooled video card. The basic EK-FC 3870 X2 CF costs 109.95EUR, while the Acetal and CF Nickel models are priced at 114.95EUR and 119.95EUR respectively. All products should be available for direct purchase from SHOP.
