EVGA Readies GeForce GTX 980 Ti VR Edition Graphics Card

EVGA announced its first "VR Ready" graphics card that comes with preparation for HMD VR headsets out of the box. The GeForce GTX 980 Ti VR Edition includes a 5.25-inch/3.5-inch front-panel that gives you a front-facing HDMI 2.0 port (letting you easily plug in your HMD), and a second mini-HDMI 2.0 port on the card's rear panel that helps with certain kinds of headsets. The front panel also throws in a couple of USB 3.0/3.1 ports with a standard USB 3.0 header that plugs into your motherboard. EVGA announced the 700B, an entry-level 700W power supply for gaming PC builds on a shoestring budget. EVGA Unveils the GeForce GTX 980 Ti Classified ACX 2.0+

EVGA unveiled the GeForce GTX 980 Ti Classified ACX 2.0+ graphics card (model: 06G-P4-4998). Positioned a notch below the GTX 980 Ti Classified Kingpin Edition, and one above the GTX 980 Ti Hybrid, the card will be EVGA's fastest GTX 980 Ti, until the Classified Kingpin Edition starts selling. It offers factory overclocked speeds of 1190 MHz core, 1291 MHz GPU Boost, and an untouched 7.00 GHz memory; compared to reference clocks of 1000 MHz core and 1076 MHz GPU Boost.

The card features EVGA's biggest and tallest ACX 2.0+ air-cooling solution, which is 2 slots thick, but a good inch and a half taller than the reference card. It features a large dual fin-stack heatsink that's ventilated by a pair of large fans. The PCB features a 14+3 phase VRM that draws power from a pair of 8-pin PCIe power connectors. The card comes with a pre-installed back-plate. Display outputs include three DisplayPort 1.2 and one each of HDMI 2.0 and dual-link DVI connectors. Other features include dual-BIOS and EVGA EV-Bot module support. Available now, the EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Classified ACX 2.0+ is priced at US $700.

EVGA Readies X99 Micro2 LGA2011v3 Motherboard

EVGA is giving finishing touches to the X99 Micro2, is latest socket LGA2011v3 motherboard, in the micro-ATX form-factor. The board is characterized by support for two USB 3.1 ports, including a type-C port. Most of the feature-set from the original X99 Micro, is carried over. This includes a 10-phase CPU VRM, three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots (full-time x16/x16/x8), a 32 Gb/s M.2 slot, with NVMe BIOS support, making up its expansion area. The board supports up to 64 GB of quad-channel DDR4 memory. Storage connectivity on the X99 Micro2 includes ten SATA 6 Gb/s ports, apart from the 32 Gb/s M.2 slot. Other modern connectivity includes two USB 3.1 ports (at least one of which is type-C), six USB 3.0 ports (four on the rear panel, two by header), 8-channel HD audio with ground-layer isolation, and a headphones amp; and gigabit Ethernet. EVGA didn't announce pricing or availability.
