ASUS Unveils ET2300 All-in-One with Thunderbolt

At a press event in New York, ASUS unveiled the ET2300, an all-in-one desktop featuring a 23-inch IPS LED touchscreen that can be tilted on desk to make touch ergonomic. The desktop comes with optional Thunderbolt connectivity, a variety of processor options spanning the Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 lines, GeForce GT 630M graphics, 8 GB of memory, 2 TB of HDD storage, slot-loading DVD SuperMulti drive, and Windows 8 to drive it all.

Toshiba's Windows 8 PCs Now Available

Toshiba's Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced that its consumer line-up of Satellite laptops and Ultrabooks, Qosmio laptops as well as its All-in-One desktops featuring Windows 8 are available for pre-order starting today and will be widely available for purchase from select U.S. retailers and ToshibaDirect.com on October 26.

Toshiba's new laptops feature spacious touchpads with Windows 8 gesture support to allow users to perform gestures on the touchpad as they would on a touchscreen device. In addition, to help transition consumers to the innovative interface in Windows 8, Toshiba's new PCs come pre-installed with Toshiba Desktop Assist, a utility designed to give users easy access to their programs, control panel, as well as files and folders, similar to the Start Menu in previous versions of Windows.

MSI Launches the AE2081 and AE2081G All-in-One PCs

MSI introduces two new 20-inch entertainment machines, the MSI Wind Top AE2081 and AE2081G. Both models are equipped with a modern design that perfectly fit into a neat working area. Saving 30% of power with its LED backlight displays over conventional CCFL display panels, combined with the Intel Core i3 processor and MSI's Military Class II components, these All-in-One PC's are the embodiment of green computing. MSI Launches Wind Top AE2281G All-in-One

MSI proudly announces a new 22" All-in-One PC in its line-up: the MSI Wind Top AE2281G. Samsung Introduces Two New Series 5 Laptops

Samsung Electronics America, Inc., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, today announced two additions to its mobile PC line: the 15.6-inch Series 5 notebook and the 14-inch Series 5 500 notebook. Both products feature a 3rd generation Intel Core processor and top-of-the-line entertainment features, including JBL stereo speakers and NVIDIA GeForce Graphics. Additionally, Samsung announced that its Series 9, Series 5 and Series 3 models will feature Intel’s new, more powerful processors.

“Our latest Series 5 notebooks offer a premium computing experience, thanks to Samsung’s advanced engineering and Intel’s new processors, as well as enviable entertainment features including JBL audio speakers to provide a home theater experience in a mobile PC, whether you’re using it in your office, home or at a hotel,” said Todd Bouman, vice president of marketing at Samsung Enterprise Business Division. “The power and speed of Intel’s latest processors have enabled us to create even faster, more efficient laptops, and we’re excited to have begun integrating them into these new models and several of our existing designs as well.”

Updated Dell XPS 15 Laptop Said to Have Slimmer Casing, Ivy Bridge CPU

According to a fresh report, in Q2 Dell will be releasing a new XPS 15 laptop, one that makes use of Intel's 3rd generation Core processors (codename Ivy Bridge), has a chassis just 24.2 mm thick (down from 38 mm of the current XPS 15), and packs a 15.6-inch WLED-backlit Full HD (1920 x 1080) display protected by Gorilla Glass.

ASUS Introduces the K93SM 18.4-inch Notebook

ASUS has now officially announced the European release of its latest K-Series laptop, the 18.4-inch K93SM. This new model weights 4.1 kg, and features an LED-backlit Full HD (1920 x 1080) display, a chiclet keyboard, a Core i5-2450M or i7-2670QM processor, up to 8 GB of RAM, a GeForce GT 630M 1 GB graphics card, and a 500 GB or 1 TB hard drive.

ASUS' laptop also boasts an 8x DVD writer or 6x Blu-ray combo drive, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a 3-in-1 card reader, one USB 3.0 port, a 6-cell (5200 mAh) battery, and makes use of the IceCool technology to ensure the palm rest stays cool and comfortable.

The K93SM runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and goes from 849 Euro to 1,149 Euro, depending on configuration.

HP Slips Out Info of Upcoming Ivy Bridge and Trinity-Powered Notebooks

The dv4-5000 is a 14-incher with 1366x768 pixels resolution, Core i7-3610QM (2.30 GHz) processor, up to 8 GB memory, GeForce GT 630M 2 GB DDR3 graphics, and up to 1 TB of HDD space.

The dv6-7000 packs a 15.6-inch screen with up to 1366x768 pixels resolution, the same i7-3610QM chip, GeForce GT 630M or GT 650M graphics, up to 2 TB of HDD space, and a little more connectivity than the dv4-5000. Lastly, there's the dv7-7000, with 17.3-inch screen with up to 1920x1080 pixels resolution, GeForce GT 650M graphics, up to 2 TB HDD space, and even more connectivity options. Apart from the three, HP also unveiled Pavilion g4-2000, g6-2000, g7-2000; which are 14-inchers, with 1366x768 pixels resolution, AMD "Trinity" A6 APU or Intel Core processors, AMD Radeon HD 7670M or AMD Radeon HD 7520G + 7670M Dual GPU, and mainstream connectivity.

14-inch Lenovo Ivy Bridge Laptop Up for Pre-Order

Providing more proof that Ivy Bridge is closing in fast, Amazon has put up for pre-order a Lenovo laptop which is powered by an Intel 3rd generation Core processor. The laptop in question is named IdeaPad Y480 (20934FU) and it features a 1.3-inch thick chassis, a 14-inch display, a 2.3 GHz Core i7-3610QM CPU, 8 GB of RAM, a 750 GB hard drive and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M 1 GB graphics card.

The Y480 also packs two 1.5 W JBL speakers, it runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and apparently has a battery life of only 3.5 hours. The price tag of this new IdeaPad is $999.99.

New Lesance Type-GX Reference Configuration Packs GeForce GT 630M Graphics

Japanese build-to-order PC specialists Lesance launched the BTO GSN721GW TYPE-GX reference 17-inch performance notebook featuring NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M graphics. At 17-inches size, the Type-GX serves as a portable desktop-replacement. Its screen packs full-HD resolution (1920 x 1080), the GeForce GT 630 driving it is backed by 1 GB of DDR3 memory. It packs 144 CUDA cores.

Other parts of the Type-GX include Intel Core i7-2670QM quad-core processor clocked at 2.20 GHz with 6 MB L3 cache, 8 GB (4 GB x2, DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM) memory, Intel 510 Series 120 GB SSD, Blu-ray ROM, wireless b/g/n and gigabit Ethernet connections, and USB 3.0 ports. The notebook measures 416 x 270 x 22 ~ 35 mm (WxDxH), weighing 2.99 kg. Windows 7 Home Premium x64 is the OS of choice. This reference configuration costs 101,980 JPY (US $1320).
