Acer Announces Two New Monitors with a Frameless Design

Acer today unveiled two new monitors, the 27-inch S277HK and the 25-inch H257HU. Featuring frameless designs and 4K2K Ultra HD and WQHD resolutions respectively, they bring together stylish form factors with great functionalities.

The Acer S277HK has the distinction of being the world's first 4K2K monitor to feature a frameless design and DTS surround sound. Besides giving it a stylish streamlined look, the design also maximizes its viewing area and provides a more seamless viewing experience for multi-monitor setups.

EIZO Releases Two New FlexScan IPS Monitors with Ultra-Slim Frame Design

EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) today announced the release of the FlexScan EV2455 and FlexScan EV2450 IPS monitors for business environments such as trading rooms, back offices, and control rooms.

These monitors feature a new "Fusion" design that houses EIZO's own EcoView technologies for reduced power consumption and improved visual ergonomics inside an extremely compact cabinet. This new housing features 1 mm ultra-slim bezels on the sides and top (with black borders of 5.2 mm for the FlexScan EV2455 and 4.3 mm for the FlexScan EV2450) and a depth of a mere 47.9 mm for both models. This makes for an attractive design that blends in with the desktop and reduces eye movement in a multi-monitor setup.

Acer Announces the Aspire R 13 and Aspire R 14 Series Convertible Notebooks

Acer today announced the Aspire R 13 and Aspire R 14 Series, two new convertible notebook lines that can transition between various notebook and tablet style modes of operation. The R 13 Series features Acer's Ezel Aero hinge that allows the display to rotate into six different positions. All models can also be used with the optional Acer Active Pen. The R 14 Series of convertible notebooks features a 360 degree dual-torque hinge that allows it to be used in four usage modes. Both notebooks are designed for those who don't want to give up a traditional notebook design, but want more options and flexibility.

EIZO Announces the ColorEdge CS240 24.1-Inch Monitor

EIZO Corporation today introduced the ColorEdge CS240, a 24.1-inch monitor that fits the varying needs and budgets of all levels of photographers and graphic design professionals. The ColorEdge CS240 offers many of the advanced features of other EIZO ColorEdge monitors such as a wide color gamut and hardware calibration. It also delivers benefits not usually available with cost-performance monitors such as dedicated calibration software that supports compatibility with a wide range of third-party calibration devices and a manufacturer's five-year warranty.

ColorEdge CS240The ColorEdge CS240 features a wide-gamut IPS (in-plane switching) with a 1920 x 1200 native resolution and reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB color space. With this extended gamut, images shot in RAW can be converted to Adobe RGB or images shot in Adobe RGB will be displayed in vibrant and lush colors. An LED backlight reduces power consumption to just 27 watts during typical operation and utilizes brightness modulation technology for flicker-free image display to help prevent eye fatigue.

Dell Also Readies the UltraSharp U2415 16:10 IPS Monitor

Dell is showing the 16:10 aspect ratio some love with its newest UltraSharp model, the U2415, which features a 24.1-inch AH-IPS panel with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Seen below, Dell's display comes with a slim (6.9 mm) bezel, a W-LED backlight, a 6 ms G2G respone time (that's with the FAST mode enabled), 300 cd/m2 brightness, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, a 5-port USB 3.0 hub, a stand allowing for tilt, swivel, rotate and height adjustments and one DisplayPort, one mini DisplayPort and two HDMI inputs, plus one DP out for daisy chaining (up to three monitors).

The UltraSharp U2415 can be found on Dell's Chinese website bearing a price tag of 3,299 yuan ($537/409 Euro).

Dell Debuts the S2415H and S2715H Multimedia Monitors

While it's working away on the UltraSharp U3415W Dell is also making updates to its media consumption-focused monitor offer, introducing the 24-inch S2415H and the 27-inch S2715H. Both displays feature a super-slim bezel, an AH-IPS panel with a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a glossy screen coating, a W-LED backlight, a 6 ms (G2G) response time, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, VGA and HDMI inputs, and built-in speakers (2 x 3 W for the 24-inch model, 2 x 9 W for the 27-inch). The S2715H also comes with a two-port USB 2.0 hub.

The S2415H is priced at $259.99 while the S2715H can be found listed by Dell China at 2,999 yuan (~ $488/372 Euro).

BenQ Shipping Latest GW Series RevolutionEyes Monitors in the US

EIZO Unveils the FlexScan EV3237 31.5-Inch UHD Monitor

EIZO Corporation today announced the release of the FlexScan EV3237, a 31.5-inch 4K IPS monitor with a 3840 x 2160 native resolution. MSI Rolls Out the WT Series Mobile Workstations

MSI rolled out its third mobile workstation after the GT series and WS series, the WT series. Styled much like MSI's Gaming series notebooks, the WT series comes in four models, the WT70-20K, the WT70-20L, the WT60-20K 3K IPS, and the WT60-20J. The WT70 duo feature 17.3-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) displays, while the WT60 ones feature 15.6-inch displays. A stand-out here is the WT60-20K 3K IPS, which features a 15.6-inch 3K (2880 x 1620 pixels) IPS display. The WT60-20J, on the other hand, features full-HD. All four feature bodies that are clearly inspired from the Gaming series notebooks, featuring illuminated keyboards.

All four models offer 4th generation Intel Core i7 "Haswell" processors, up to 32 GB (four DDR3 SO-DIMM slots) of memory, NVIDIA Quadro K3100M graphics with 4 GB memory on the WT70-20K and WT60-20K 3K IPS; Quadro K4100M graphics with 4 GB memory on the WT70-20L, and Quadro K2100M graphics with 2 GB memory on the WT60-20J. This summer AOC is set to bring to market the u3477Pqu, a 34-inch monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a native resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. The upcoming ultra-wide display has a slim bezel design, makes use of an AH-IPS panel and features a 5 ms (GTG) response time, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 320 cd/m2 brightness, a four-port (dual 2.0 and dual 3.0) USB hub, built-in 3 W stereo speakers, and D-Sub, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort inputs.

The AOC u3477Pqu is said to come out in July. No word on pricing though.

HP Unveils Two New EliteDisplay Monitors
