LG Launches Two New Ultra-Wide LED Monitors

LG Electronics USA today launched two new "UltraWide" 21:9 aspect ratio* LED monitors designed to offer professional tools for effective multitasking and excellent gaming experience. Models EA73 and LN450W, which will be on sale in late September, also employ LG's advanced In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology and 2560 x 1080 resolution capability* to deliver exceptional picture quality. LG Introduces Two New Ultrabooks

LG Korea has today launched a couple of new, Haswell-powered ultrabooks, a 13.3-inch model known as 13Z930 one with a 15.6-inch display dubbed 15U530. Part of the Ultra Series, these two portable devices feature an IPS screen, a Core i5-4200U processor and a 128 GB solid state drive (the 15U530 also packs a 750 GB hard drive), and run Windows 8. The 13Z930 also has Intel HD 4400 graphics, while its 15.6-inch sibling includes a 2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 720M card.

The 13Z930 is just 13.6 mm thick and weighs 1.15 kg, whereas the 15U530, which includes an optical drive, is 20.9 mm thick and 1.95 kg.

In addition to the ultrabooks, LG also revealed the 11T730 Windows tablet. This one is also equipped with a Core i5-4200U CPU and a 128 GB, and has a slide-out keyboard.

NEC Display Introduces New 30-Inch Color Accurate MultiSync PA Series Display

NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, announced today the 30-inch MultiSync PA302W color accurate display and color critical PA302W display solution with SpectraViewII calibration software and sensor. The models come in both white and black cabinets, which have been redesigned and are now 34 percent slimmer than previous models.

Built using a cutting edge GB-R LED backlight, the PA302W provides a wider color gamut and more color control than a conventional white LED backlight and consumes 44 percent less power than comparable CCFL backlights. Wortmann Debuts the 2770W 27-Inch IPS Monitor

Wortmann AG has this week launched a new TERRA Series monitor, the 27-inch 2770W. This model makes use of an AH-IPS panel and features an LED backlight, a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, 400 cd/m2 brightness, a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000,000:1, a 6 ms (G2G) response time, stereo speakers, and VGA, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort connectivity.

NEC Display Solutions Introduces the EA273WMi IPS Monitor

HP has this week introduced a new 'built-for-business' monitor, the EliteDisplay E221c. Acer Announces New, Ultra-High Resolution Monitors

Acer America is now offering its three LED monitors offering ultra-high resolution and large 27- and 29-inch screens for consumers and commercial users in the United States.

AOC Rolls Out d2769Vh 27-inch Monitor

AOC rolled out another of its virtually borderless IPS monitors, the d2769Vh. This 27-inch monitor is a slight variation of the d2757Ph announced late last year. Two key differences between the two include MHL (mobile high-definition link) support, and a new round stand base on the d2769Vh. Aside from those, the two are practically identical. Both offer 1920 x 1080 pixels native resolution with 5 ms response time, 1,000:1 static contrast ratio with dynamic mega-contrast, 250 cd/m² maximum brightness, and display inputs that include a D-Sub, and two HDMI. In Denmark, the monitor is expected to be priced at 2,690 DKK (360€), including local taxes.

ASUS Introduces Designo Series MX299Q Ultrawide 21:9 Cinematic Monitor

ASUS announced the Designo Series MX299Q Ultrawide 21:9 Cinematic Monitor, a 29-inch widescreen display with an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio and 2560 x 1080 resolution. The MX299Q features the latest AH-IPS (Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching) display for rich, vibrant color with 178-degree wide viewing angles, and ASUS SonicMaster audio, co-developed with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower for superlative sound quality with its built-in stereo speakers. I-O Data Intros 27-inch AH-IPS WQHD Monitor

Japanese peripherals maker I-O Data announced the LCD-MF272CGBR, a new 27-inch monitor. Featuring an AH-IPS panel with LED backlighting, it offers a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD), 178°/178° viewing angles, response time as low as 6.5 ms, and as high as 12.4 ms, 440 cd/m² maximum brightness, and 1,000:1 static contrast ratio. The panel features a contiguous piano-black front that makes it appear bezel-free, a matte-black rear, and a brushed aluminum stand that gives you basic tilt adjustments. It can be removed to reveal VESA wall mounts. Display inputs include dual-link DVI, DisplayPort, HDMI, and D-Sub. Measuring 650 x 240 x 200 mm (WxDxH), it weighs a little over 7 kg. Slated for late-July, it's expected to go for 79,800 JPY (US $800).
