Angelbird and Accusys Announce Extended Strategic Partnership

Angelbird solid state drive model ED361 recommended for the Accusys ExaSAN RAID storage system to be demonstrated at IBC Show 2014 (Booth #Hall 6. C10.). Angelbird Technologies GmbH, an innovative manufacturer of solid state drives (SSDs), and Accusys Storage Ltd., a pioneer provider of PCIe RAID products, jointly announced an extended strategic partnership pairing the Accusys ExaSAN 8-bay PCIe 3.0 compact storage (Model B08S3-PS) and 8-bay PCIe 3.0 desktop storage (Model A08S3-PS) with Angelbird SSD options.

The new Accusys ExaSAN B08S3-PS RAID storage system is a big performer on 4K workflows. SanDisk DAS Cache Software Now Available for Next Generation Dell PowerEdge

Two OCZ RevoDrive 350 Striped in Soft-RAID, Put out 3.7 GBps

OCZ showed off its latest high-performance SSD for the consumer market, built in the full-height PCI-Express add-on card form-factor, the RevoDrive 350. The drive features a PCI-Express 2.0 x8 bus interface, and several SSD subunits making up a host-agnostic RAID 0 array; which is bootable. OCZ claims sequential transfer speeds of up to 1,800 MB/s, with 4K random access throughputs of up to 140,000 IOPS, for its top-end 480 GB and 960 GB variants. The company set up a soft-RAID using two of these drives, and put it through popular synthetic benchmarks. It scored as high as 3,752 MB/s in one test.
