The Talos Principle 2 Launches November 2

Hi everyone. Croteam is very happy today to announce The Talos Principle 2 is launching on November 2. This is a very special project for us. For one, it allowed us to continue the story of The Talos Principle, a game that shaped us just as much as Serious Sam did. But also, The Talos Principle 2 started a new chapter for us, as we transitioned from developing our own technology to Unreal Engine, which allowed us to put 100% of our focus on creating the best gaming experience we can.

We cannot wait for everyone to hop in The Talos Principle 2 on November 2nd, and experience this new adventure with us. You can pre-purchase The Talos Principle 2 now at 10% off, and if you own the original you can secure an additional discount. Thanks for all your support! The new game is a thought-provoking first-person puzzle experience that greatly expands on the first game's philosophical themes and stunning environments with increasingly mind-bending challenges.

It's not just a planar magnetic set, Talos is a hybrid set that features a newly-developed 14.6mm dual-chamber planar driver as the main driver and custom-developed dual BA drivers as super tweeters. DUNU has featured a special switch on the Talos that allows the users to choose whether to listen to the set in Planar-only mode or hybrid mode. The dual BA drivers act as super tweeters, they are tuned for high-frequency response and instantly improve resolution and details when turned on.

Talos is currently launched on pre-order priced at $199.99, shipments are expected to start from 26th by the order no. sequence. For the first 100 orders, we will be including our HiFiGo Neck Strap and leather buckle as a gift. Know more details here. It's also available on our amazon store, check here.

Piriform Hacked, CCleaner August Versions (v5.33.6162) Injected, Compromised

In another large-scale attack that's bound to increase users' awareness on their systems' security, news have broken out that Piriform, creators of the popular CCleaner software tool (estimated to be instaled in some 130 million devices), have suffered a hack on their servers that compromised some installer packages of the software. Piriform, which was purchased by popular security software company Avast last July, was hacked last August, and the changes to the installer packages could potentially allow hackers to control the devices of more than two million users, the company and independent researchers said on Monday.

OCZ Technology Announces Beta Program for New Linux-Based Caching Solution

OCZ Technology Group, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) for computing devices and systems, today announced that it has initiated a beta test program for its Linux Acceleration (LXL) Software development and invites its enterprise SSD customers to participate. The new OCZ LXL Software is a fast caching storage solution for OCZ's portfolio of enterprise SSDs and designed specifically for Linux-based physical and virtual environments.

OCZ's unique LXL Software provides a new integrated approach for making application-optimized data cache selections while minimizing I/O access times to SSD flash. It achieves this type of dynamic cache selection optimization by splitting the caching policy engine between the core mechanism running in the Linux kernel and an advanced statistical out-of-band analysis module that optimally determines which data needs to be placed in the cache and stores the data locally in OCZ enterprise-SSDs. The LXL software supports a wide range of OCZ enterprise solid state solutions across multiple interfaces (i.e. Z-Drive R4 PCIe Series, the Talos 2 SAS Series and the Deneva 2 SATA Series).

OCZ Technology to Display New Enterprise Storage Solutions at Gartner's Symposium/ITX

OCZ Technology Group, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) for computing devices and systems, will display its enterprise storage solutions at the Gartner Symposium/ITXpo, Booth #1044, Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Florida, from October 21st through October 25th. The Gartner Symposium/ITXpo is an annual gathering of CIOs and senior IT executives seeking the latest tools, technologies, and information to improve IT capabilities and data center effectiveness.

For SAN acceleration of I/O intensive workloads, OCZ will present its leading Z-Drive R4 PCIe SSDs supporting both full-height (FH) and half-height (HH) configurations, enabling the CPU with direct access (zero-latency storage) and instant boot capabilities. The FH (3/4 length) RM88 model enables an industry best 2.8GB/s of sequential throughput, 410K of random IOPS performance, and usable MLC NAND flash capacities from 800GB to 3.2TB. The HH (half-length) RM84 model is also a performance leader enabling 2GB/s of sequential throughput, 250K of random IOPS performance and usable capacities from 300GB to 1.2TB.

IceWEB Selects OCZ Talos 2 and Deneva 2 SSDs for Its Unified Data Storage Systems

OCZ Technology Group, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) for computing devices and systems, and IceWEB Storage Corporation today announced that OCZ's SAS-based Talos 2 SSDs and SATA III-based Deneva 2 SSDs have been selected by IceWEB for inclusion in IceWEB's complete line of unified data storage systems. IceWEB leverages OCZ's enterprise-class SAS and SATA SSDs to enable its storage systems with ultra high performance of I/O intensive applications while lowering power consumption and associated cooling costs.

Today's enterprise, mission-critical applications demand very high levels of I/O performance from storage systems that hard disk drives (HDDs) simply cannot provide since they only deliver about 100 to 200 input/output operations per second (IOPS) performance. Therefore, in developing unified data storage systems that yield ultra high-performance, high reliability and availability, low power and cost-effectiveness, IceWEB required solid-state storage as these drives store and access data through NAND flash memory versus from spinning disks. In a typical industry comparison, it takes about 50 HDDs to provide the IOPS performance of one SSD, and an SSD only consumes a fraction of the power of an HDD.
