Synology Introduces DiskStation DS115

Synology Inc. today launched the new DiskStation DS115. Cherry Unveils MX Board 6.0

Cherry, the company that revolutionized the gaming keyboard industry with its noiseless mechanical switches, announced the latest keyboard under its own brand, the MX Board 6.0. Featuring its latest, most refined switches, this keyboard features what the company calls RealKey Technology.

In addition to 100% N-key rollover, the RealKey technology relies on high bandwidth provided by USB 3.0, to reduce latency, making the key presses register quicker. The keyboard itself is aimed at professional typists, software devs, and gamers. With a standard 102-keyset, with macros and red key illumination, the MX Board 6.0 features an ingot-shaped metal body, to which an included palm-rest can be magnetically attached. ADATA UC360 Offers Type-C with USB 3.0 Backward Compatibility

ADATA UC360 is a unique new flash drive spotted at CES, which embraces the new USB Type-C connector for fast connectivity with newer generations of smartphones, tablets, and ultra-portables; and a standard Type-A connector on its other end, for backwards compatibility with older USB standards. The two connectors slide out from the drive's ends. Although featuring a Type-C connector, the drive only supports USB 3.0 and USB 2.0/1.1, and so its transfer rates are well under 5 Gb/s. It comes in capacities ranging between 16 GB and 64 GB.

Kingston Digital Offers Automatic Cloud Backup to Personal Secure USB Flash

Kingston Digital, Inc., the Flash memory affiliate of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced the additional feature of cloud backup to the DataTraveler Locker+ G3 (DTLPG3) USB 3.0 Flash drive for personal security. DTLPG3 offers hardware encryption, password protection and fast USB 3.0 transfer speeds to keep one's personal data safe.

Consumers now have the option of automatically backing up a DataTraveler Locker+ G3 to their preferred cloud storage provider such as Google Drive, OneDrive (Microsoft), Amazon S3, Dropbox or Box via included ClevX USBtoCLOUD software. Kingston Releases Ultra-High Speed microSD for 4K and HD Video Capture

Supermicro Announces the C7Z97-M Socket LGA1150 Motherboard

In what's a clear sign of enterprise motherboard manufacturers like Supermicro and TYAN taking an interest in the DIY client-desktop market, Taiwanese company Supermicro launched the C7Z97-M, a micro-ATX, socket LGA1150 motherboard, based on Intel's Z97 Express chipset. It may not be the first motherboard based on the chipset by a traditionally enterprise-hardware company, but it's certainly the first designed to woo the PC enthusiast crowd. The features a matte-black PCB, with matte-black and ruby-red scheme, which bear a strong resemblance to Foxconn, and its Blood-Rage series.

The C7Z97-M features a 6-layer PCB, a digital-PWM CPU power delivery, with ceramic multi-phase bar chokes, and driver-MOSFETs. The board draws power from 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS. You can tell it's a board made by an enterprise manufacturer, looking at components such as the ASpeed IPMI 2.0 remote management chip, an LVDS display output, a TPM header, and key toggles being left to manual jumpers. The BIOS setup program is a reference AMI Aptio (not skinned).
