ViewSonic Brings 3D Gaming to the Desktop with its 24” AMD-certified LED Monitor

ViewSonic has launched its first 24” 3D-LED monitor, the V3D241wm-LED, giving people the opportunity to watch 3D content in full HD. The monitor has been certified by AMD for use with its Radeon range of graphics cards, ensuring maximum compatibility and ease of use. The monitor includes a set of wired active shutter glasses, allowing users with a compatible computer to get started right out of the box.

Using the included 3D glasses, the V3D241wm-LED can display 3D games and movies without any loss of quality by taking advantage of the monitor’s 120Hz frame rate and ultra-fast 2ms response time. ViewSonic presents new 3D Lifestyle, Digital Media and Tablet products at IFA 2010

ViewSonic Europe will be previewing its new range of 3D devices and digital media players at IFA 2010, Hall 14 Stand 107. The new range of products includes an affordable 3D camcorder, portable 3D TV and 7" tablet PC. ViewSonic will also be demonstrating new products to its existing ranges of LED display technology, media streamers and eBook readers.

ViewSonic Unveils Green LED-Backlit Full-HD Monitor

ViewSonic's latest monitor jumps the 'green' (eco-friendly) bandwagon. The VA2250wm is a 22 inch (21.5 inch viewable) LED-illuminated LCD display which pushes the power envelope down to 26W during typical usage, which the company claims to be 40% lesser than tradidional LCD displays with CCFL-illumination. At its size, the panel is full-HD capable (native resolution of 1920 x 1080), has a response time of 5 ms, brightness of 250 cd/m², and contrast ratio of 1,000:1 (dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1). The display has 2W stereo speakers inbuilt, it has a piano-black bezel with a dash of clear acrylic. It takes display input from DVI and D-Sub. Priced at around $225, the VA2250wm is expected to ship in late May.

ViewSonic Showcases First 120Hz 22-inch LCD Display at NVISION 2008

ViewSonic, best known for its iPod loving LCD monitors, has demonstrated its first 120Hz desktop LCD technology today at NVIDIA’s NVISION 08 event in San Jose, California. The 22-inch ViewSonic VX2265wm prototype delivers exactly twice the refresh rate of most current LCDs (60Hz) and eliminates the blurring, ghosting, and other side effects that usually occur during fast-moving scenes. The 120Hz VX2265wm claims to have a response time of 3ms Motion Picture Response Time (MPRT), a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits of brightness and 2x2W stereo speakers. “ViewSonic continues to deliver innovative technology that leads and supports the growing trends and demands in digital entertainment,” said Jeff Volpe, vice president of Global Brand and Emerging Technologies, ViewSonic. “The 120Hz technology will deliver superb front-of-screen performance and will drive new standards in desktop entertainment igniting the next evolution in digital viewing capabilities.” The first displays with ViewSonic’s 120Hz technology are expected later in the year at select resellers, retailers and etailers. ViewSonic Wins Vista Certification

ViewSonic said recently that its LCD monitors have won certification for the Windows Vista operating system (OS). New LCD monitors from ViewSonic shipped since December are compliant with Windows Vista, with the new models including the entry-level VA-series, graphics-use VG-series, professional-use VP-series and design-oriented VX-series, according to Alan Chang, vice president of ViewSonic for Asia-Pacific sales and marketing.Source: DigiTimes
