Colorful Announces the iGame 780-3GD5 Graphics Card

Right after the launch of iGame Kudan 780, Colorful Technology finally releases its iGame 780-3GD5 graphic card. It continued the important features of iGame family -- adopting one-key overclocking, high quality IPP inductor and SPT (Silver Plating Technology). Although the performance of iGame 780 is under iGame Kudan, yet the performance of Game 780 is 17% better than GTX 780 reference card, especially while playing AAA title games.


Colorful Announces a Pair of GeForce GTX 760 Graphics Cards

Colorful announced a pair of GeForce GTX 760 graphics cards. Its recent tie-up with Chaintech appears to have sobered the company up a little, which offered two graphics cards that don't quite appear to be over the top, but designed to sell by the bunch. First up, Colorful unveiled a reference-design card of a different kind. While NVIDIA's reference GTX 760 is based on the same PCB as a GTX 670, and the same cooler as a GTX 660; Colorful's take on the reference is taking advantage of the pin-compatibility of GeForce GTX 760 with the GTX 680, and placing it on a GeForce GTX 680 reference PCB, with reference GTX 680 cooling solution. It goes a notch further, by enabling all five NVVDC phases instead of four on NVIDIA's retail GTX 680 cards. This card sticks to reference clock speeds of 980 MHz core, 1033 MHz GPU Boost, and 6.00 GHz memory.

Moving on, Colorful's premium GTX 760 offering is the iGame GTX 760 Ymir-U. It features a high-performance cooling solution that takes advantage of a dense silver-plated aluminum fin-stack, a combination of 8 mm and 6 mm-thick heat pipes, and a pair of 90 mm fans. The underlying PCB features a strong 8 phase VRM, and dual-BIOS that's switchable at the push of a button. The first BIOS runs the card at reference clock speeds; while the second one runs it overclocked, at 1019 MHz core, 1072 MHz GPU Boost, and 6.00 GHz memory. As with most Colorful cards, the company will begin selling the cards in the Greater China region first; and then move on to the rest of the continent, and neighboring Europe.

Colorful Unveils GeForce GTX TITAN Ultra Edition with Subzero Cooling

Given that our friends at Colorful never fail to surprise us with over-the-top custom-design cooling solutions for even the most mid-range GPUs, NVIDIA's lifting of restrictions on custom GTX TITAN designs was bound to come as their eruptive moment. Their take? Strap the GTX TITAN with a full-coverage phase-change cooler. Designed explicitly for open-air benches, and for people with a know-how of hardware volt-mods, the new iGame GTX TITAN Ultra from Colorful is a bundle of a reference design GTX TITAN PCB, and a phase-change cooler.

The cooler consists of the compressor assembly inside a separate case the size of a micro-ATX tower, insulated refrigerant pipes, and the dual-slot block itself, which cools everything on the obverse side of the PCB, and makes contact with the back-plate, so some of its heat can be transferred to the subzero obverse side. A phase-change cooler works on the same principle as deep-freezers, refrigerators, and air-conditioners, only that in this case, the block takes up the role of the evaporator. Colorful claims the cooler can sustain temperatures as low as minus 50°C. Out of the box crate, the iGame GTX TITAN Ultra comes with 954 MHz core, 1006 MHz GPU Boost, and 6.00 GHz memory.

Liquid-Cooled Colorful GeForce GTX TITAN iGame Unveiled

Colorful was the first graphics card maker to announce a factory-overclocked GeForce GTX TITAN, only it held back with adding its own customization because manufacturers are not permitted to modify reference-design GTX TITAN, with the exception of pre-installing full-coverage water-blocks, such as in the case of EVGA GTX TITAN HydroCopper. Colorful followed this path, by innovating a full-coverage block of its own.

Pictured below are two iterations of Colorful's card, one with a see-through acrylic top, and another with a classy POM-acetal top. The underlying block appears to use nickel-plated copper, and features a dense micro-channel stack over the GPU area, where the highest heat is generated and needs to be dissipated. The coolant channel appears to flow through the entire VRM area; the block actively cools all memory chips on the obverse side of the PCB. Colorful is running opinion polls on Chinese social-media on which block better suits the PCB, which ultimately is an NVIDIA-reference design one. Colorful plans to deploy factory-overclocked speeds of 954 MHz core, 1006 MHz GPU Boost, while leaving the memory untouched at 6.00 GHz.

Colorful Announces GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost iGame

Possibly the most well-equipped GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost, Colorful's iGame graphics card combines the mid-range GPU, otherwise meant for 1080p gaming on a shoestring budget, with its signature paraphernalia. To begin with, the company cools the 140W TDP chip with its most powerful iGame VGA cooler, which uses a combination of three aluminum fin stacks, to which heat from the GPU is fed by five 8 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes; and which are ventilated by a pair of 80 mm fans. Since the card has memory chips on both sides, Colorful dropped in a brushed aluminum back-plate as well.

Colorful's iGame GTX 650 Ti Boost uses a custom-design PCB, with a 4+1 phase VRM, and hand-binned Hynix-made memory chips for high memory overclock. The PCB features two independent EEPROM chips, giving you dual-BIOS support. It ships with a failsafe BIOS that falls back to NVIDIA-reference clock speeds of 980 MHz core, 1033 MHz GPU Boost, and 6.00 GHz memory; while a factory-OC "Turbo" BIOS ups the GPU Boost to 1058 MHz. The card draws power from two 6-pin PCIe power connectors, to ensure your overclock doesn't fall short of power; display outputs include two dual-link DVI, and one each of HDMI and DisplayPort. Colorful didn't announce price, but plans to launch the card in the Greater China region, and the EU. Another "go big or go home" product from Colorful.

Colorful Readies GeForce GTX 660 Glorious Mission Graphics Card

Glorious Mission may not ring too many bells with western gamers, but it's a pretty popular online multiplayer shooter akin to the Battlefield franchise, based around PLA. It's only natural that graphics card makers from the mainland design special edition products around the game. It just so happens that the graphics card maker interested in Glorious Mission is Colorful, known for its over the top performance-segment graphics card designs that never cease to surprise us. Its latest creation is in on the drawing boards, and we got access.

Based on the GeForce GTX 660 GPU, the new Colorful iGame Glorious Mission graphics card uses a cooler that builds on today's multi-fan aluminum fin-stack designs. The cooler uses a dual- 92 mm fan aluminum fin stack, to which heat is fed by four 8 mm-thick heat pipes, to cool the GPU. The two fans are covered by punched-metal sheets. Colorful didn't give us a specific date on its release, but we expect it to make it to this year's Computex, if not the 2013 Lunar New Year shopping season.

Colorful Announces its GeForce GTX 660 and GTX 650 Graphics Cards

Colorful Announces GeForce GTX 660 Ti iGame Graphics Card

Colorful announced the GeForce GTX 660 Ti iGame. The new graphics card is designed for overclockers, and includes an elaborate cooling solution with detachable heatsink shards. Colorful did not confirm clock speeds, but judging by its record, the GTX 660 Ti iGame is most likely a reference-clocked graphics card with a large overclocking headroom, and the features to let you take advantage of that, with your own skills. The GTX 660 Ti iGame cooler uses a large main heatsink, to which additional heatsinks can be attached using heat pipes. The cooler is ventilated by a pair of 80 mm fans, and a set of shark fin-inspired vents that guide in fresh air. The card is expected to be available in Asia and EU.

Colorful Unveils Fanless GeForce GTX 680 Graphics Card

Now see this: a fanless, passive-cooled GeForce GTX 680! Chinese graphics card designer Colorful unveiled the world's first passive-cooled GeForce GTX 680 graphics card, the iGame GTX 680 passive. The card uses a pair of detachable, dense aluminum fin heatsinks, which draw heat from the 3.5 billion transistor GPU using seven heat pipes, and dissipate it using two aluminum fin stacks on either sides of the PCB. The two stacks are joined by six 8 mm-thick heat pipes.

The cooler cumulatively has 20 heat pipes, a surface area of 2 square meters across 280 aluminum fins. The second module is optional, and is only recommended if the operating environment is warm, or if the end user is overclocking. The card is said to use a complex VRM design that draws power from two 8-pin PCIe power connectors, though we suspect the idea behind that to be heat spreading. The design guarantees reliable silent operation at reference clock speeds or mild overclocking. Display outputs include one each of dual-link DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort. Colorful is still assessing the marketability of the design. Watch this space for more.

Colorful Makes GeForce GTX 680 iGame Kudan Official

Colorful announced its most powerful GTX 680 named "iGame GTX680-2G Kudan". The first "iGame Kudan" graphics card was released last year, and it was a GTX560Ti. Now Colorful uses the design concept on the latest GK104 chip.

Like the first generation, iGame GTX680 Kudan equipped a huge cooler which requires three slots and assembles three fans, one is 90mm, and others are 80mm and with "Shark Bionic" design in order to reduce the noise. Below the triple fans, there are heat-sinks which are crossed by ten 6mm heat-pipes. A 3mm steel plate is covered on the back of the PCB in order to enhance the PCB and improve the heat radiation.

The iGame Kudan's design methodology revolves around giving users an extremely tweakable and modular cooling solution, which can not only be modified by playing with its heatsinks, but also be re-painted to suit your style. Colorful included a pastel-set the last time around. Under the hood, the card is packed by a modular VRM. The main PCB has an 8-phase digital VRM, which can be augmented by an additional 4-phase circuit on a daughterboard, which gets attached on a modified SO-DIMM slot, which goes parallel to the plane of the PCB, on its rear. Colorful Launches the Most Powerful and Feature-Rich GeForce GTX 560 Ti

After showing off the PCB of the new design GTX560Ti days before, Colorful today releases this new graphics card and named iGame GTX560Ti Kudan.

iGame GTX560Ti Kudan requires three slots and assembles three fans, one is 80mm, and the other two are 70mm which with "Shark Bionic" design in order to reduce the noise. Users need to remove the cooler to install the expansion card on the obverse side near the rear plate. Both WHDI card and Television Card are available to be installed independently to satisfy users' requirement.

Colorful Shows Off The Most Powerful GeForce GTX 560 Ti PCB Featured in iGame Card

Asian graphics card vendor Colorful is at it again with its innovative board designs. This time, the company is after a GeForce GTX 560 Ti (GF114-based) graphics card that boasts of very strong power delivery, and a few mysterious expansion options. Colorful's emphasis has always been on PCB design and choice of high-grade components. This particular card, most likely called the Colorful GTX 560 Ti iGame, is no exception to that. The PCB is particularly long (as much as a GF110-based board).

The additional length is put to use by an innovative arrangement of VRM phases in two rows of four phases. This card employs high-grade chokes with driver-MOSFETs (a component that integrates up/down MOSFETs and driver IC into a single compact package). This 8-phase VRM draws power from three 6-pin power connectors, and can deliver 300W of power to help with record-seeking overclocking feats. There are consolidated voltage measurement points to help manually measure voltages.

Colorful Intros iGame560 Ymir and Ymir-U Series Graphics Cards

Growing in popularity, Chinese graphics card designer Colorful is ready with yet another graphics card design, this time based on the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 GPU. Called the Coloful iGame560 Ymir, the card is based on a revision of the company's "shark-fin" cooler design, while retaining the GF114 PCB the company used on older GTX 560 Ti graphics cards. The iGame560 Ymir PCB uses high grade components, 6+1 phase VRM, and redundant BIOS switchable from the rear panel. The "normal mode" BIOS runs the card at NVIDIA reference speeds of 810/1002 MHz (core/memory actual), while the "turbo mode" BIOS runs the card at 850/1050 MHz.

The iGame560 Ymir comes with an optional accessory called "Air-kit", which is a detachable heat pipe that draws heat from the main heatsink out of the case through the rear panel, and on to a small heatsink that passively dissipates heat. The Ymir model uses a beefy fan-heatsink that uses a large and elaborate heatsink, which is ventilated by two fans. The card is available in both 1 GB and 2 GB variants. Apart from the Ymir, Colorful also released the iGame Ymir-U 1 GB and Ymir-U 2 GB, which use a slightly more compact cooler that uses a circular heatsink with radially-projecting aluminum fins and a copper base. The Ymir-U cooler makes do with a single fan. On the Ymir-U cards, turbo mode runs the card at 830/1050 MHz.

Colorful Intros iGame GeForce GTX 550 Ti Ymir Graphics Card

Colorful backed NVIDIA's launch of the GeForce GTX 550 Ti mainstream GPU with its own iGame series non-reference design graphics card, the iGame550-1024 D5 Ymir. The card uses Colorful's non-reference design PCB that uses a 4+1 phase VRM, high-grade components, and dual BIOS that is selectable with a switch on the rear panel. One of the two BIOS ROMs packs failsafe clock speeds of 900/1000 MHz (core/memory), while the other "Turbo" BIOS runs the card at 1000/1100 MHz. The card is cooled by Colorful's iconic "Shark fin" cooler that packs large heatsinks, and some clever air-channeling mojo. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti packs 192 CUDA cores, and connects to 1 GB of memory over a 192-bit wide memory interface. Colorful's iGame550-1024 D5 Ymir is available in Asia immediately, and will reach Europe in the coming weeks.

Colorful Announces iGame GeForce GT 440 Series Graphics Cards

Colorful, one of the biggest NVIDIA graphics card suppliers in Asian market, announces two GeForce GT 440 models - iGame440 1G Ymir-U and iGame440 1G Buri-Slim. Both of these two cards are based on the same PCB solution, but with different coolers and clocks.

iGame440 1G Ymir-U has better performance, it uses the "shark" design on the cooler, which with pure cooper base and nickel plated heat-pipe, providing better thermal and 3D performance. The clock is setting at 850/3800MHz (core/memory), comparing to the reference edition 810/3600MHz, iGame440 has about 5% improvement.

Colorful Announces iGame GeForce GTX 560 Ti Graphics Card

Colorful announces the latest NVIDIA graphics card - GTX560 Ti. Comparing with the GTX460, the new GTX560Ti provides 48 more CUDA Processors; as the architecture of GF114 is like an "update" of GF104 , the GTX560 Ti is compatible with the PCB solution of GTX460, that's why we could see most of the GTX560 looks like GTX460. Colorful also continues the PCB solution of iGame460, which made a great success in 2010, and named the new product as iGame560-1024 D5 Ymir.

The iGame560 continues the Shark-inspired Bionic design on the cooler, however, it increases the surface of nickel plated cooper base and the length of the heat-pipes, to achieve better thermal performance. For the VRM area, it makes use of a 7-phase design, with high-grade ONSEMI-made MOSFETs which are covered by one piece of radiator. Colorful, one of the biggest AICs in Asia, announces their new product - a single-slot GTS450, named iGame450-1024M Buri-SLIM. We had seen the PCB of this item before, which quipped 3+1 phases VRM, all high-C POSCAP capacitors onboard, and driven by ONSENMI MOSFET. And the chocks attract many peoples' eyes- they are threaded installed on the PCB. And also, the PCB is ventilated, so it could improve the thermal performance for the components on the PCB.

Today, we are glad to see Colorful announces the full sample. The card uses a cooper base radiator. The air is leaded to left-top side by the vents which are tightly installed on the cooper base, and the exhaust will be radiated from the vents on the cooler cover and top side.

Colorful Announces iGame GTX 570 Graphics Card

Colorful announces GeForce GTX 570 at first time after the NDA, it about one month after releasing factory overclocked GTX 580. Though Colorful GTX570 is based on reference edition, they overclocked the card from 732/3800MHz to 750/3900MHz in order to tweak better performance and make some differences with other brand.

Colorful Announces iGame GTS 450 Graphics Card

Colorful made global headlines when it unveiled the iGame GTX 460 graphics card to markets outside its niche of China and other East Asian markets. With the more affordable GeForce GTS 450, we thought it went softer with its non-reference GTS 450 graphics card that is designed appropriately for the market-segment. Now it looks like Colorful is back to an exorbitant product design, with the iGame GTS 450. This card sports similar styling to its GTX 460 cousin. The "shark-fin" cooler design that "breathes in" air for efficient ventilation is also there, but the key feature here is a design meant for overclocking.

The iGame GTS 450 makes use of a strong VRM area that makes use of a 5-phase design, with high-grade ONSEMI-made MOSFETs and server-grade NCC POSCAP capacitors, low-latency GDDR5 memory chips from Hynix, and a dual-BIOS design that is user-controllable with a switch on the rear panel.
