A-DATA PD17 Flash Drive 1 GB

Show printable version
Manufacturer: A-DATA
Author: Darksaber
Date: Jun 29th 2007

Introduction

I would like to thank A-DATA for supplying the review sample. The company produces some very unique and useful memory products, ranging from a complete offering of notebook and desktop memory over memory cards in various shapes, sizes and speeds to USB storage in many flavors. A-DATA also has licenses to produce such memory devices with themes of Pirates of the Caribbean and Disney.

From the manufacturer:

  • Tiny
  • Push and Play
  • COB process for PCBA
  • Enhanced for Windows ReadyBoost
  • Specification: support USB 2.0
  • Size 36.5*24.5*5.5mm
  • Weight:5g

Packaging

The package has the same layout and theme as the other A-DATA MyFlash drives. This should make for a good eye catcher if a shelf is packed with all types of A-DATA devices. The PD17 is very small which is the biggest selling point of the PD17. The back lists all the above mentioned features in multiple languages. On a small note, A-DATA actually translated certain English terms word for word into German, in which these do not make any sense anymore. This makes for some very funny text.
