Value and Conclusion

  • The A-DATA PD17 MyFlash Drive 1 GB does not yet have a retail price. We will update this review as soon as retailers carry the memory device
  • Small
  • Very light
  • Supports Vista ReadyBoost
  • Good read performance for such a size
  • Lifetime warranty
  • Available in three colors
  • Write performance is a bit slow
  • Plastic casing
  • No access LED
9.2The A-DATA PD17 is once again a very unique memory device. It has a very unusual shape and is very small. The plastic enclosure is quite solid with a perfect and long lasting paint job. You will certainly not notice the extra 4g weight on your key chain. The PD17 does not dissappoint either with a very solid 18.2 MB/s. Even with the small size and light weight, it is also Windows ReadyBoost capable with an access time of 0.7 ms. If red is not your color, you are free to choose between blue or even gold as well. The only feature one will miss, is an activity LED, as you will not know if a read or write operation has finished unless you take a look at your screen.
