  • Small
  • Well priced
  • Great read performance

  • Very sturdy
  • Supports Vista ReadyBoost
  • Lifetime warranty
  • Available in two colors
  • Write performance is a bit slow
  • Casing could hold better
  • No access LED
9.5The A-DATA PD18 is once again a very unique memory device. It has an unusual shape and is extremely small. The aluminum enclosure improves on the PD17 but also adds overall size. A-DATA has also watched the paint job, which is very good. If you do not like the bright blue, there is a bright pink version available as well. There is not much to improve besides case hold and possibly a small LED for read and write access. A-DATA has created a small incredibly fast USB 2.0 device with a whopping 2 GB, which should suffice for more than just everyday file transfers. With the support of Windows ReadyBoost, the PD18 is also the perfect companion for notebooks or as a permanent attachement to a PC, as it is so small and solid that it will not get in the way.
