The A-DATA Sport S701 manages a very respectable 23.9 MB/s of raw read performance. This places the drive right in the upper bulk of our chart. This is not a disappointment, as the drive is not intended to be blazing fast, but to look good on your key chain.
The S701 shines when it comes to access times. The drive manages 0.6 ms, which is well below the 1.0 ms required for Windows Vista ReadyBoost Certification.
ATTO confirms the read speeds we obtained with HD Tach. The write speed of just above 6 MB/s is nothing out of the ordinary as well. This speed was obtained on a nForce 680i board.
