Stock cooler? No thanks. Since the plan was to cool the ATI Radeon X1900XTX video cards below ambient temperature there is a high chance that condensation could form. So this insulation was added to keep short circuits away.


For first testing an Asetek Vapochill was used to keep the CPU cool.


As you would expect from overclocking legends the Vapochill installation went very quickly. "Do we need this mounting kit from the package?" "No, we brought our own.".
Some capacitors near the CPU socket were blocking the insulation. While we were searching for Macci's knife Sampsa quickly bit the excess off and made it fit. Sampsa, how does that stuff taste?


There is going to be some condensation on the dry ice blocks. To make sure no water can drip down and short circuit the motherboard these paper towels were used. Tools of the Pros anyone?
