AirLive Skyphone-1000

  Show printable version
Manufacturer: AirLive
Author: Darksaber
Date: Oct 19th 2007

Packaging

The Skyphone comes packaged in a clear plastic mold. There is a hole on top, so that it may be hung up on a shelf. It is not welded shut, which makes opening it up a breeze. The back has a little compartment which holds the USB cable. AirLive actually ships a clear plastic stand in a seperate bag. This must have been a last minute addition, as there is clearly no space within the Skyphone package itself.

Contents

Sandwiched inside the cardboard you will find a CD, a very detailed multi-language manual and a terms and conditions for the limited time iPod nano 8 GB giveaway. A USB cable is also included, but can only be used for charging the phone. It is fairly long so you can just plug it into the back of the computer and place it on your desk. Oddly enough, the desktop stand does not have any connectors and it does not fit the Skyphone at all, but the label up front clearly states what device is intended to be used with the clear stand. It would have been great if AirLive could have created a functional stand with a USB passthrough connection, so that you could charge the device, much like today's wireless home phones.
