| 8.5 | The Amazing Tech Products PureBuds represents a nice go at trying new stuff out, but the implementation just lacks a bit before the product becomes something really unique from a sound quality point of view. The fact that you can tailor their sound to your liking is something we are seeing more and more of. With the PureBuds there are vast differences in sound signature according to which tip is used. The radical changes in sound signature means that you can get to the extremes, but you miss all of that which is in between. The general design is good and comfortable, however, there can be some fit issues with some of the tips depending on how your ears are shaped. Fit issues are nothing new, but since this product relies solely on the tips to alter the sound a good fit with all tips is necessary before the product can do all that it is supposed to, you simply lack some functionality if the fit is not secure with these ear buds. PureBuds represents a new approach on how to make a top performing ear bud, they just need a little trimming before they are able to compete with normal ear buds sonically. |
