| 8.8 | The ATH-AD700s strike me as a jack of all trades. They handle everything from classical music to games with such proficiency that it is simply scaring. For $100 these headphones are an absolute steal, if you are looking for a great set of open back all around cans these would be my top pick. The fact that they can be run straight out of a normal sound card is a welcome change because it means that you can use them for gaming as well as listening to music. Of course there is still a noticeable change in sound when you hook them up to a dedicated headphones amplifier, but I would actually settle for just running these out of a good sound card. |
