Installation

A downfall to the Domino’s installation design is that for all Intel based installations, the motherboard must be removed from the case and / or motherboard tray. This is simply due to the fact that a plate must be installed on the back of the motherboard, so the screws on the FHE have something to screw into. The installation of this plate is very easy. The user just has to peel the cover of the double sided tape away and then stick the plate on (so its screws align with the motherboard holes).

The Domino was mounted onto the motherboard. It was then taken off and the base of the cooler was checked. As the images show, the thermal paste spread evenly amoung the CPU and base of the cooler.

The FHE was mounted onto the CPU and then screwed into the backplate. I have decided to screw it in before putting the motherboard back in the case (it can be screwed into the motherboard when the radiator is mounted to the back of the case).

The radiator was mounted to the back of the case, where the rear case fan sits. The small rubber fan mounts were squeezed through the screw holes – a very simple process. The radiator sits securely in the case once all four fan mounts are secure. Once done, the 3 pin fan connection was connected to the motherboard. A downfall to the Domino is that the case must have a 120 mm rear case fan slot, or it cannot be installed. While most users that purchase this cooler will indeed have this 120 mm fan slot, it should still be universal to all cases.
