8.5The CoolIT Systems Dual Bay NV Reference Series Cooler (what a name!) does offer great cooling performance, on par with traditional water cooling systems. Cooler temperatures also means less radiating heat around the cards within the case and possibly higher overclocks of the video card. The fact that the system comes pre-assembled right out of the box, filled and sealed as well, makes it a very appealing choice for those out there who want to take the dive but are afraid of complications of self-built water cooling loops. The price may be a turn-off at first sight, but considering that the separate parts of a water cooling system will set you back just about as much, it is certainly appropriate. The quality of the unit itself is adequate, but the flimsy cover of the radiator is not. It is made of plastic, while a steel or aluminum variant would have been much nicer. Nonetheless, the system does perform well in regards to cooling and is still quieter than two full throttle stock air coolers of an SLI rig.
