Software

The software included with the mouse installed without any troubles. Two aspects of the application are out of the ordinary. It will open up at the center of your desktop and you will not be able to drag & drop it anywhere The other interesting function is the built in uninstaller, which can be selected with a right click on the Intelliscope icon in the system tray. This will start the uninstaller to remove the software from your computer.

The application is quite colorful and you may need a few seconds to get used to it. Once you have adjusted to the shape, color and abundance of pictures, the software is actually very good. There are four areas within the software. The first being fairly useless, as it only tells you about the mouse with a link to Cyber Snipa website. If you have gotten this far, buying the mouse, unpacking it and installing the software, I am sure you will know what you have purchased or received as a gift.
Cyber Snipa should have moved this button all the way to the right, making a functional tab the first thing a user is presented with, when starting the application As it is now, you always require an additional click to get to the real settings. The first functional area is dedicated to the assigment of all the various buttons. All except the DPI button can be assigned any major function, including "CTRL + <key>". These keys are C, V, A X, Z, S or R, which all control various Windows functions in combination with the "CTRL" key. While this is useful within the operating system, it most likely will not be of any use in games. You can also switch between right and left hand use with a single click.

A slight annoyance of the application is the fact that the dropdown list of possible assignments stays open even when you click on anything else on your desktop. In this state, it even "stays on top" of everything until you have selected your desired function for the selected button. Closing the drop-down list with the standard buttons like "ESC" or a simple mouse click is not possible. Not even hitting the "X" to close the Intelliscope Mouse application itself works. As soon as you open the drop down list, you have to select a function for the selected button, otherwise it will not close.

The third area is called "Sensitivity Control". Here you may change the mouse speed as well as the double click speed. The latter function can then be tested on the included image. If you doubleclick fast enough, an animation of two bullets hitting the wall is shown. The last area is called "Pointers & Scoll Wheel". You may adjust the scroll speed of the wheel in this panel of the software. There is a function called "Virtual Double Wheel", which gives you the ability to scroll horizontally. This is done by pressing the mouse wheel down, at which point it will move sideways when scrolled. This can be reversed to the traditional function by pressing the mouse wheel down once more.
