Value & Conclusion

  • The Diamond Viper X1900XT is priced around $383 US after $50 rebate and is one of the lowest X1900XT prices around.
  • Good overclocking capabilities.
  • Great Performance.
  • Crossfire capable
  • Priced well.
  • No bundled game.
  • Loud heatsink/fan.
  • Runs hot.
9.3Needless to say the Diamond Viper X1900XT was no slouch and played games at high resolutions with ease. Nor did I want to bore you with a ton of technical jargon with shader units, geometry pipelines and so on; there are already a ton of reviews that cover all that. Instead I wanted to add something other than how much faster or better one card did than the other in benchmarks. Hence, the reason I went with the overclocking guide, along with some insight on a new application, which allows the reader to test his/her finding against those in the review. This in no way takes away from the fact that the Diamond Viper X1900XT itself is a solid performer and does provide a new level to gaming. I like that Diamond made the effort to distinguish their card from just another plain ATI reference PCB. I would recommend the Diamond Viper X1900XT, which competes in a highly competitive OEM market.
