Value and Conclusion

  • The 2GB G.SKILL F1-3200PHU2-2GBNS kit will cost you $160. This is an excellent price for a 2GB memory kit with good timings.
  • Very good price
  • Nice red heatspreaders
  • Runs stable with any voltage
  • Good default latencies
  • Lifetime warranty
  • Low overclock
  • No timings scaling at all
  • No voltage scaling at all
8.0While this kit is not so great for overclockers, it is a nice opportunity for people who are looking into getting two Gigabytes of memory and don't want to spend too much money for that. Since this memory will perform at any voltage, it fits well to owners of cheap motherboards which do not support memory overvolting.
With a street price in the USD 160 range and good stock timings of 2.5-3-3-6 this kit will make many players of Battlefield 2 happy by improving their gaming performance.
Personally I would love to see more overclocking or ways to get more overclocking out of these sticks by relaxing the timings, but in this case I think it's important to consider the price/performance ratio.
