Value and Conclusion

  • The 2GB G.SKILL F1-4000BIU2-2GBHV kit will cost you around $280. Not so cheap, but still good for 2GB and lots of overclocking.
  • Pretty heatspreaders
  • Great overclocking
  • Runs stable with any voltage
  • Can do CL2 and CL2.5 as well
  • Lifetime warranty
  • No gains from voltage increase
9.3This is the best 2GB DDR memory kit we tested so far. Being able to run CL2, CL2.5 and CL3 is very nice. So the memory works well for people who do not overclock at all, for people who overclock a little and for people who overclock a lot. Everybody can pick the ideal timings for his system.
Another plus is that the memory overclocks great even at a standard voltage of 2.6V which means that it will work on budget motherboards as well, which do not offer voltage adjustments.
3DMark limiting the maximum memory overclock is a bit of a weird issue but I hope to have an update on this soon.
