Gigabyte Z77X-UP5 TH Intel LGA 1155 Review

Packaging

Gigabyte has very nicely solidified their product packaging into a unified theme for many products that sit within similar markets. Being a mainstream product with overclocking features, the Z77X-UP5 TH carries the same layout that most of the other Gigabyte products carrying a "5" in their name, and which I have covered in past months, have. That said, we see the same front and back design with the first thing I noticed being an upgrade to "Ultra Durable 5" and a note, on the front of the box, declaring that this board is intended for "K" SKU CPUs and watercooling!

Inside the box I, yet again, found a white secondary box inside which was the board on top with accessories below.

The accessories package provided with the Gigabyte Z77X-UP5 TH is pretty good. It includes a PCIe add-on card for WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and a USB 3.0 front-panel device that slides into your case's front panel using a 2.5" slot. One thing I didn't find was the extended Crossfire Bridge that came with the Z77X-UD5H, but that's because it's not needed here! A full list of the accessories is below:
  • 1x I/O Shield
  • 1x User Manual
  • 1x Software User guide
  • 1x Gigabyte GC-WB300D PCIe WiFi/Bluetooth card
  • 2x WiFi/Bluetooth add-in card guides
  • 1x WiFi USB cable
  • 2x WiFi Attenna
  • 1x USB 3.0 2.5" Bay Device
  • 1x SLI Bridge
  • 1x Driver CD
  • 6x SATA 6 Gb/s cables with locking pins
