8.3 The OVC TC20 provides a better than average price / performance ratio, while leaving a lot to be desired sound quality wise. The design of the earphones is actually quite good which surprised me. These earphones are rock solid and the assembly quality is way above average. Every part of the design is well thought out and it definitely rivals that of many way more expensive earphones. Not only does the design allow for a good fit almost independent of your ear form, but it also allows for extremely easy insertion and removal. The sound quality is definitely not on par with that of its more expensive rivals, but it is no slouch either. The midrange is reasonably good and so is the bass for a set of earphones that only costs a mere $39. Noise attenuation was actually better than I expected, it is definitely on par with that of the many times more expensive Ultimate Ears Super.fi 3 Studio in most scenarios. So if you need a pair of inexpensive cans that provide you with decent noise attenuation these OVC earphones might just be the ones for you. It is pretty apparent from the first time you listen to them that these earphones are not as neatly trimmed sonically as the other in-ears I have recently had the pleasure of reviewing, however, these do make up some ground because of their well thought out design and good build quality.
