A Closer Look - Inside

To open the case, simply pull down the two latches and take off the side panel. The inside does not look out of the ordinary, besides the relocated PSU bay. To gain access to the drive bays, simply pull the front off. It is securely held in place by four clips.


If you were thinking "...but, what about 3.5" drives? Where do those go?", rest easy. Hiper has included a 3.5 to 5.25" adapter behind the front of the case. This is certainly a nice touch and a positive surprise. The hard drive cage looks identical to that of the Anubis. You will also find a fan pre-installed in this location. It looks like Hiper has improved on all the shortcomings of the Anubis enclosure, which only came with a single cooling fan.


Upon removing the 3.5" adapter and the hard drive cage, we are left with the bare case. Besides the relocated PSU bay, the general layout looks identical to that of the Anubis.


The HDD bay can be placed in any two 5.25" drive bays. These expansion slots also have foam lining to reduce any vibration of the installed parts.


Let's move our focus to the inner rear of the Osiris, starting with the PSU bay. The air vent has a dust cover on it, so you will not have to worry about clogging up the power supply. The PCI brackets are still of the break-out kind. Even though Hiper has included three PCI bracket covers, there are seven to be broken out. It would have been nice if Hiper could have included the same number of additional covers. The rear top holds two 120 mm fans. This means you can expect the same air flow around the CPU socket, as any traditional case out there. All fans within the case use mainboard headers and, as mentioned before, Hiper has also included adapters to connect them directly to the Molex plugs of your power supply. This gives you complete choice


The mainboard I/O connectors are of the standard variety. This guarantees maximum compatibility with mainboards and is - quite frankly - just want we would expect of a high-end case.
