| 9.0 | Being priced at a staggering $349 these in-ears are for people looking for some excellent earphones which can be enjoyed both from a sonically and aesthetic point of view. That being said these in-ears are different than most because they offer a warmer and lusher sound than most, however, this very feature along with the extravagant design comes at a hefty price tag. The Images do so many things well, and have a very unique sound characteristic that is hard to find in earphones. You do not get a lot for the final $100 in comparison to the Sleek-Audio SA6s except a lot of small refinements and a radically different sound characteristic. If you are the kind of person that will not spare any expense to get some of that full sized can sound in an earphone body, these are probably what you are looking for, but do not expect them to be as revealing as the Sleek-Audio SA6s. The design of the Images is by far one of the most exclusive I have ever seen. They are small and quite elegant to look at compared to most in-ears. Every aspect of the Images' design is well executed with an incredible focus on the small details. The tip selection is really good and the contour ear gels work extremely well. Besides the earphones you get a lot of extras - some more essential than others. The two carrying bags you will receive are a nice touch and definitely a good thing since you would want to keep your $349 investment safe from harm. |
