Value and Conclusion

	The Lexar 8 GB SDHC card will be available soon from Lexar.
	Can be had for around $50 excl. shipping from some stores Super performance compared to class rating and cost Great card and bundle for the price Read performance on par with that of much more expensive SDHC cards Excellent solution as an add-on card for MP3 players and scenarios where write speed is not mostr important Pretty fast write speeds
	Still a bit pricey for an 8 GB class 2 card (even though it performs above expectations)
9.0	Lexar has definitely done a good job with this Class 2 SDHC card. Everything is just a tad above what you would expect for a reasonably priced 8 GB Class 2 spec card. The performance is definitely way above what I would expect for a Class 2 card and just goes to show that there is no need for investing in expensive Class 6 cards to use with one's portable media players where most of the operations are read related. Of course the Lexar Class 2 is far from as fast as a good Class 6 card, but price / performance wise it is extremely hard to beat. This card is close to perfect if you are looking to upgrade a device which does not need to write a lot to the card. Another small bonus with this card is that you get a 5 years limited guarantee that covers most things that are not wear and tear related.
