A Closer Look

Lexar has placed the card in a semi-transparent plastic cartridge. While this is nothing out of the ordinary, it does differ from the standard design.


The front of the card has the same design as the packaging. Lexar has done a great job with the black and golden colors, as this theme stretches across their entire "Professional" series of devices. The rear holds a label on which you can write your Job, name and jot down a few notes regarding the contents of the card.


You will find the serial number of the CF card on the rear ledge, which seems to be the most popular place to laser it into. Using this technique reduces the possibilty of altering or forging it, which can easily be done if a sticker is used instead.
