Software

The installation of the included software is quite straight forward. A restart was required, after which it worked flawlessly right of the bat. It should be interesting to note, that the software is supplied by Razer and nothing has been done to hide that fact. This is by no means a bad thing, as it is a well known that the software is quite solid and works well.


Just like with the Microsoft Habu and any other Razer device, the software is quite easy to understand. The Reclusa can be seen in the center, with various functions around the device.


You can save five different profiles for the Reclusa. This means that all the customization can be bound to specific profiles and games. In case you do not use the Windows Media Players, a simple drop down box lists all the possible media programs which this keyboard supports.


The most interesting and by far most advanced aspect of the Razer software are the customizable keys. You may assign a macro or command to the key. You can also enable a button to switch to a specific profile or open a program of your choosing. The macro length is limited to eight keys. You can also place short delays in-between the sequence of keys of your macro.
