The Mountain Mods U2-UFO-CYO case arrived in a plain brown shipping box that was roughly 19 inches cubed. Inside there were two more boxes: the taller one held the motherboard tray and accessories, while the thinner box held all the panels. All of the items were wrapped in plastic to protect them during shipping.

The accessories included with the case are a pair of chrome switches, a pair of LEDs with chrome holders, four HDD brackets and a set of four caster wheels. These wheels work great for moving the case around, but if placing the U2-UFO on a desk, small plastic feet can be ordered to use instead. Of course, Mountain Mods includes a bag of hardware containing PCI backplates, assembly screws and motherboard stand-offs. A few dozen thumbscrews come with the case, and the ones included were black to match the finish off the case. There are no assembly instructions included with the package, but there is a PDF file linked on the order page that can be downloaded and printed if needed.

As previously stated, there are no fan grills included with the basic case. Mountain Mods was kind enough to include several black chrome wire grills to compliment the look of the case.

The color we chose for our case was the standard black. All of the case components receive the same finish, right down to the motherboard tray. While the finish is not a perfectly flat mirror finish, it is extremely glossy and highly reflective. There is a bit of an "orange-peel" to the finish, and I did notice some extra paint hanging off some of the openings around the case. Ben from Mountain Mods said the finish "is the result of heat convection. As powder goes into an oven and is baked, the powder liquefies and the heat waves in the oven will cause a slight ripple. It's only noticeable on the mirror black. As for the paint around cutouts, etc., it's most likely not paint, but slight material variations from the Qmada 6000 laser. As the paint will uniformly mold around the part."
