NZXT Sentry LX

General Look & Feel

The entire front is made of aluminum, which does not only give the unit an excellent and study feel to it, but also conveys quality - something you should expect for the price of the Sentry LX. Turning the unit around, you can see a large, blue PCB with various electronic parts on it. A single IC can be found here as well, but more on that later.


Both sides look identical. The Sentry LX can be secured with a total of eight screws, four on each side. Due to the height of the unit and the fact that it actually occupies two 5.25" slots, there is a groove in the middle, to increase compatibilty with all the cases out there.


Three different type of cables are connected to the unit. The first is a standard Molex connector, which is used to supply power to the device. The second set are the five temperature diodes and the last set are five fan connectors to plug your cooling fans into.
