| 9.5 | Noctua's NH-U12F is a great cooler that can compete with products from much bigger well-known companies. Noctua put excellent engineering into the product, for example when you look at the installation process you can see many little details that make installation easier or safer. The manual's layout is one of the best I have ever seen. The Noctua NH-U12F will fit all common sockets on the market today, all required installation clips are included, so even if you change sockets any time soon you can continue using your cooler. With the included Ultra Low Noise adapter it is also possible to use the cooler in a media PC system - as long as you have the physical space for it. Of course all this comes at a price. Spending over 50 bucks for a cooler is something not everybody is willing to do. Based on what we saw in the cooling performance tests my suggestion is to get this cooler only if you are looking into serious overclocking. If you don't plan on overclocking there may be more cost effective solutions to achieve stable temperatures. |
