How easy does it break?

When I showed one of the other staff members this review one of his first comments was:
"but does it break easily ? for me it looks like it does".

Since it's all plastic and not metal this is a valid question.

So I put together a ghetto testing rig.

The USB stick is screwed in between two wood plates. Using a wire a weight is hung onto it.

Here we see a full 1.5l bottle of water which weights 1.5 kilograms - not a problem for the Mini Kart.

You can clearly see the plastic flex a little but it can hold the weight. For the nay sayers, this is a 200 KB video which shows the bottle swinging.

Hmm.. so 1.5 kg is not enough. Guess what happened when I added more weight ...

.. the cable snapped.

With a stronger cable I went to hook up OCZ's latest 700W GameXStream PSU (review here soon) to our little testing rig.

Wow. It still didn't break. But the flex looks alarming. I want to use this USB stick after the review so enough weight testing. After all this abuse the Mini Kart still works fine of course.
