8.7When deciding on components for a new system, users are often worried about incompatibilities with the memory of their choice. OCZ has teamed up with ATI to bring you CrossFire certified memory. This means that you can install this memory on any CrossFire certified motherboard and it is guaranteed to work. Especially for less experienced users this can be a great way to save a lot of trouble. I have seen countless forum posts where people complain about their system not working stable. Especially when CrossFire is mentioned the standard answer is that the power supply is too weak, even though the memory is the problem.
More experienced users will find a wide range of timings and voltages at their disposal to fine-tune their memory for optimum performance. With clocks ranging up to DDR2-960 this memory makes a good choice for a high-performance CrossFire system. On the other hand if you know what you are doing, you could just save yourself some money and get any generic memory. But compared to cheap memory, OCZ offers several advantages like Lifetime Warranty, Support and a warranty for overvolting the memory up to 2.3V.
For case modders this memory could also be a good choice because of its great looks. The red matches perfectly with other ATI colored components.
