A Closer Look

NVIDIA's cooler is quite sophisticated and uses a combination of heatpipes, heatsink and fan to keep the card cool.

The Palit 9800 GTX supports SLI with two or three GPUs on any NVIDIA motherboard. You can use 9800 GTX cards from any manufacturers to set up your SLI rig.

Being a high-end card, the Palit GeForce 9800 GTX requires two PCI-Express 6-pin power connectors for operation.

The GDDR3 chips are made by Samsung and have the model number K4J52324QE-BJ08. Their cycle time of 0.8 ns (= 1250 MHz) is about the fastest you can find for GDDR3 memory on the market right now.

NVIDIA's G92 GPU powers the 9800 GTX Series and also the GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB and 8800 GTS cards.
