Raidmax Iceberg Elite Series Gaming Case Review

A Closer Look

The front panel bears in stylish font the model name "ICEBERG" on one of the removable 5.25" bay covers. I was pleased to find included an optical drive bezel. The four 5.25" drive bays are surrounded by a chrome border that nicely accents the lettering.

The main side panel of the Iceberg has a one third window to display only the most important components such as video card(s), sound card and CPU cooler. Both side panels have two latches that make removal extremely convenient. I've used cases from many companies and I can honestly say that this method makes panel removal the simplest I've experienced. It may have been nicer though if the latches were matching the color of the case instead of the bright white.

The "front" ports and buttons are more conveniently located at the front of the top panel on the Iceberg. This includes two USB, headphone, microphone, and 1394 ports as well as the Power and Reset buttons. The power and hard drive activity LEDs are also included here.

Just right of the PCI ports on the back panel are two pre-drilled holes for use in routing watercooling tubes for a rear mounted radiator. These come with rubber fillers to prevent air escaping when not in use.

Looking now to the bottom of the case, there are four rubber feet that are height adjustable by twisting. The bottom panel is also nicely accented by an alternating inset channel design.
