Value and Conclusion

  • The Raidmax Iceberg has an MSRP of $149.99 US Dollars but can be found anywhere from $120 to above MSRP before shipping.
  • Thick and sturdy aluminum structure
  • Available in black or silver
  • More than adequate and visually pleasing included cooling comprised of 3x 120 mm blue LED fans + 1x 120 mm black fan
  • Simple disassembly via latches on side panels and lever on front panel
  • Active hard drive cooling
  • One third side panel window to display on the main components while hiding the mess
  • Plenty of space to work with for cable management if the "mess" simply isn't acceptable
  • Plenty of extra screws including thumb screws in both black and silver
  • Hard drive bay requires extra disassembly of front panel apparatus to be removed
  • No removable motherboard tray
  • PCI brackets must be broken out for use
  • Completely plain white box without any product description
8.5The Raidmax Iceberg certainly turned out to be what Raidmax considers an "Elite Series Gaming Case" in multiple aspects. An incredibly sturdy design along with very stylish and efficient stock cooling and a side window that shows off the brawn while hiding the junk were all very pleasing aspects. These pros also left just as much to be wondered about the break off PCI expansion bay covers and inconvenient disassembly required for hard drive bay removal. However, no case can please every person in every way, but at the price point of ~$150USD, so much value is added by the standard inclusion of the three 120 mm blue LED fans (as opposed to the majority of case manufacturers shipping with only one or two black 120 mm fans, of which the Iceberg also includes one). All in all, the Raidmax Iceberg has a lot to offer those enthusiasts looking for the black or silver aluminum and blue LED style that it has to offer.
