8.0The Razer Salmosa packs a great Razer sensor and also has the look and feel you expect from a gaming device. With a well balanced size and great build quality the Salmosa makes a good impression at first and during use. Being priced lower than other Razer mouse may make it more appealing to budget gamers looking for great technology in a mouse or someone wanting a secondary Razer gaming mouse, in case his primary breaks down on the road. Gamers, who take the dive into the Razer universe with the Salmosa may be a bit dissapointed, as it really lacks additional features like a weight system or onboard memory - something found on other mice at the exact same price point. The biggest drawback, however, is the lack of additional buttons. Having only the normal left and right mouse button and the usual scroll wheel functionality may turn away quite a few users, who simply need additional buttons. It seems like Razer has stuffed the mouse with their own technology, but stripped it of all the features we simply expect to find on most mice these days. If you are looking to grab your first Razer mouse - sure - go for the Salmosa, if you are switching from an OEM mouse. If you are already used to the extras of a gaming mouse, but want to go for a Razer part, take a look at their higher-end offerings - which obviously come at a higher price.
