A Closer Look - Outside

Taking a first look at the Rosewill Line-M, it is a very simple and understated mini tower chassis. The use of materials is quite good and the metal mesh at the front adds a bit to the overall quality of the case.


Straight lines and soft curves are what make up the overall design. One can see that the interior of the case is painted black through the back, and that the PSU bay is located in the very top of the chassis. Rosewill included two openings for 120 mm fans on the main side panel but the other is completely solid.


The bottom half of the front is filled out by the fine metal mesh grill, which provides fresh air to the 120 mm intake fan that has been pre-installed here. At mid-height, you will find the power and reset buttons along with two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 plugs. The usual pair of audio I/O next to these round things out nicely. In the very top are a single external 3.5" and two 5.25" bays.


Turning the Rosewill Line-M around, there are not four but five motherboard expansion slots at the bottom. This is a nifty little addition that allows you to fill the chassis with two dual-slot graphics cards while leaving a single slot for routing connectivity out the back, or to install a little fan controller. Above that is another 120 mm cooling fan for, this time, pushing air out the back of the chassis. Just below the standard PSU bay are three break-out pieces; two are for water cooling tubes and one is for a serial port.


Tipping the case over reveals the four rubber feet along with a placement possibility for either a 2.5" or 3.5" hard drive, with the latter resting on rubber rings as an anti-vibration measure.
