Closer Examination

The front of the amp looks relatively simple with only a large volume knob, headphone jack, and a little mute button. The front is made of aluminum much like the box part of the enclosure.

It is very easy to disassemble you just got to remove the screws on either side of the enclosure and the top.

Scythe has gone out of their way to make sure you can get the amp to look good in the front of your case. You get two front plates one black and one silver. The only issues with this is that you only get one volume knob and that is black, it does look alright, but it would make it look more complete if there had been a silver volume knob to go with the silver faceplate.

In an effort to make the amp look acceptable when used as a desktop amp the Kama Bay amp has two plastic covers on the side that hides the screws that hold the enclosure together.

The speaker terminals on the back are very solid. So are the RCA input jacks along with the 12V jack.

This amp is both made to fit in a 5.25" drive bay and stand on a desk. It has three rubber feet which make it stand relatively steady on top of one's desk. It would have been far better if Scythe had made it with four feet because that would prevent it from tilting.

The headphone out on the front is a 1/8" plug so you will most likely need an adapter for your big headphones.
