A Closer Look

The removable enclosure is made of solid aluminum. Only the front and rear covers are constructed using plastic. A large Silverstone logo has been placed on the upper side of the chassis. There are no logos on the bottom but there is a small sticker, which holds the usual text found in combination with the FCC and CE logo.

Silverstone has placed a violet strip across the curved front of the MS05. It also holds two blue LEDs, which are used to indicate power and hard drive access. You will find all the usual connectors in the rear of the device. The eSATA, mini-USB and AC plugs should be the only ones you should need. The power connectivity is needed to power the device when inserted into the drive bay, as this connects the MS05 using eSATA.

Sliding the unit into the drive bay works well and there is very little play. You can only slide the removable enclosure into the bay in one way, so there is no possibilty to break anything, when inserting it.
