Assembly

To gain access to the internals of the MS05, you need to remove two small screws on the rear of the chassis. The hard drive tray is made of metal and the small PCB sits on one end of the inside. The main chip is a JM20316 IC. It is used in various enclosures, but the JMicron website does not list it.

Installing the hard drive is quite simple. First, you connect the SATA hard drive to the small PCB. Then it is secured by the four supplied screws on the back.

After the drive is in place, slide it into the enclosure. Then simply replace the two screws in the rear and you are ready to go.

Finished Looks

The two LEDs light up brightly when connected to a power source and the hard drive indicator lights up every time the drive is accessed.
