Installation

Installing the mainboard is identical to any other mainstream case. Just place the backplate in the appropriate location and screw the mainboard on the preinstalled mainboard standoffs - that's it.

Installing the hard drive is done by normal screws. Once the drive is installed, simply slide the cage back into the case. Due to the size limitations of the case, you will not be able to install a large graphics card like the GeForce 8800 GTX without sacrificing the hard drive cage and placing such a drive in one of the 5.25 inch bays.

Due to the simple and open interior of the case, it should be easy to reach the memory banks without removing any parts, which is nearly impossible in the Thermaltake Lanparty.

The optical drive and power supply installation are nothing out of the ordinary as well. The second restriction of the case - once again no big surprise here - is the power supply. It is not possible to install a large 1200W PSU inside this enclosure, but any standard ATX sized unit should fit perfectly fine. You may want to use one with cable management to reduce clutter inside the case.

Finished Looks

Once everything was installed, simply place the cover back on the enclosure. Looking at the rear of the case, we can easily access all outputs and the air vents are not obstructed by anything. The silver DVD+/-RW looks great inside the white enclosure. This color should be the best choice as this case is not beige, nor does it have any black parts to warrant a drive in such a color.
