Value & Conclusion »

Comfortability & Durability

This headset surprised me when it comes to comfort. I thought that because it weighs more than the Sennheiser it would be less comfortable when using it for an extended period of time, but this didn't turn out to be the case. SteelSound has really put a lot of effort into making this a good and comfortable headset. One of the main things that make this headset comfortable is the padding and size of the ear cups.

The padding of the SteelSound is really comfortable. When it comes to size the SteelSound is a bit bigger than the Sennheiser PC 160 especially the ear cups are bigger which you can see in picture 3. This is a really good idea because the ear cup covers the entire ear and therefore doesn't collapse the ear the same way as the Sennheiser does.

I only have one negative thing to say and that is the lack of vents on the side of the ear cups. Your ears get really warm after using them for a long time and that can be a little annoying.

Durability

Well, the headset is made of a really good quality plastic and it feels really durable. Only the microphone seems fragile mostly because of the way it is constructed. I have heard a lot of people complaining about the microphone getting trashed within a couple of months of use. But I don't know if it is due to bad handling or a problem with bad wiring.
